If I was OP, I would’ve gone by the house to see it was for sale, then I would’ve put in a bid to buy it and make them go live on the streets.

If I was in that situation I would have said, “I will buy the house. It will be under my name. You can rent it for $3,000 a month. Split the rent with your golden child. But if you don’t agree with this then I will rent out the house to GOOD people not crazy and cruel people. Also if you do agree then the golden child will have to work and NO DAMAGES or I will kick you out but I will be kind enough to give you three weeks.”
I would done the same except I would make them pay rent on the expectation they don’t let the sister live with them, if they don’t comply they can live on the streets.
The OP's parents made their choice and they should have to live with that one whether they like it or not plus leave them behind for good measure.
Call the police on ur sister she literally harassed ur daughter and that is giving her trauma at such a young age

Out of spite I still would have bought the house. Bought the house then moved into it and told mom, dad and sister to keep living in their shady apartment.
that sounds good UNTIL they show up at your door day after day after day until you spend money to hire a lawyer and get an RO. then you have to spend more money on cameras etc because crazy eva will do everything in her power to get her way and scaring the crap out of OPs daughter in the process. the grief and hassle just wouldnt be worth it.

it’s relatively common in america for parents to request small amounts of rent for adult children who still live with them. i know a handful of people who pay rent to their folks and my brother does as well.

@@sandrasausville9103 Because I loved them, then I kept watching and watching, but then noticed how they are all refereing to (almost) the same situations, and for times, they are reffering to the same terminology as 'golden child' and other terminology that told me it was repetitive..
Like, how many situations does a sister/step sister is a golden child, trying to backstab the sister by trying to take her husband? then the protagonist dont try to argue, just lose contact like a damn bug?
This was across at least 3-4 stories I've read here. unless this guy is obssessed with these kind of stories and only picking them, I just cant explain it. also, again, same terminology cannot be explained.
