Alcoholic and non alcoholic mother is independent variable,birth weight of infants is dependent variable, because mother behaviour is constant she may be either alcoholic or non alcoholic ,there is no change found by the infants weight but due to mother behaviour infant became lbw so we can say the mother is independent and infant is dependent variables.
