My mom raised me on Bush and Gavin Rossdale and for the past few years Mayday Parade has been one of my favorite bands. It's crazy that they have something for both me and my mom to listen to.

It's hard to listen to this song as I was high on a lot of drugs when I would listen to it before. So every time I hear it I feel it. I didnt wanna come down from that cloud either. But you always do.
I really thought that this cover would suvk but I love how it has a symphony with the 90's bass tapping and ugh its awesome

I have to say, when I heard they were doing a cover of "Comedown" I was really worried as it's one of my favorite songs. I'm pleased to say I'm not worried anymore because they killed it. After this, I couldn't be more excited for the release of Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2!

Really similar to the original in terms of instrumentation, except for little parts. I think most of these covers are great! I remember when I saw Bush live this was the last song they played and I shed a tear of happiness XD Like the other guy said "Nostalgia everywhere"

No, I'd say Mayday Parade's newer stuff is more like Taking Back Sunday or Anberlin. It's still pop-punk/emo, but in a harder sense. Bush was always grunge-influenced hard rock.

I like it, its just weird listening to Mayday Parade sing such a dark song.
actually, Mayday Parade has a couple pretty dark songs, I think this was an awesome song choice for their style
They have sad songs, nothing really dark... well not THIS dark, the worst one I can think of is A Shot Across the Bow. And I was actually thinking I like this song choice cause its almost the exact opposite of their style. It's not a very poppy song and they didn't try to make into a pop song which doesn't make it that good of a "cover" but Mayday Parade can still play the song well.
Nick Montgomery Between A Shot Across the Bow and When I Get Home Your're So Dead they do have the ability to do some darker stuff. They also got a little darker on a couple songs off the new album. This fits pretty well with them as a band currently

LOL wut. They are known for making dark songs that sound ridiculously upbeat. It's kinda their thing.

I'm almost positive that Mayday is not known for being dark, they're not MCR. Whats your definition of dark anyway? Mayday Parade's songs are like 90% love/heartbreak songs. Now, I classify heartbreak as SAD (Miserable at Best, If You wanted a song...) and I classify KILLING yourself over heartbreak to be DARK (Oh Well Oh Well, Terrible Things*). This song has a few themes; finding love or drug addiction. I would understand if they chose to play this song as the former, but the video shows its clearly taking the drug addiction route. It doesn't really matter to me, It just took my by surprise that they didn't choose a different song to fit their demographic. My money was actually on More Than Words or Iris.
*I know that Terrible Things isn't about suicide, but in the song the "dad" tells his kid to just give up on love because the death of his mom ruined him. And in the real world, I would just naturally assume that someone so shook by heartbreak, who would go as far to never open up to love again, would just inevitably fall to suicide.
