Am eating canned tuna for last 10years almost daily. This can tuna is from thailand and it taste like fresh fish .The Oil inside has to be drained out completely. Most can fish tastes awful. Even ones from china and euro ones.

this pond is to deep you do not need any more than 5 to 6 feet if you use pusher pumps and solar you can achieve dynamic circulation and high oxygen levels were is you supplemental structure and vegetation if you want good balance in biology you need stone on the bottom at least a foot of gravel 1 or 2 inch is fine in addition you should have a three to four foot depts walk around shelf for service in harvest safety first
Why the liner? Without liner you also have the possibility to recharge the groundwater. Also, the drainage ditch led away soo much water when the rains came, instead of having it naturally flow into the pond with contour trenches and overflow routes. Seems like a waste of good water to me.

Fyi, the whitish clay earth is possibly a mineral named Kaolian. Get a soil boring test done as you are standing on a goldmine.

It needs a liner or nitrates could migrate into ground water, out flow should go into artificial marsh to absorb the nutrients.
