First off, thanks for another informative and enjoyable video. Secondly, hearing about the challenges and your methodology to address them is very helpful. Lastly, would love to see how you would modify a 2 wire pickup to a 4 wire at some point. Cheers!

Gorgeous guitar. Still so torn on the gold vs black finish.

Would you be able to post photos of the stock humbuckers on this guitar? I want to see the difference between their non wide range humbuckers and the wide range ones.

I am on the road at the moment. They look identical to any alnico based sealed humbcuker with a cover. Side by side they look just like the pickups I installed.

hello and first of all thanks. i've gotten into guitar modifications lately and really enjoy it. first project was rewiring a 40th anniversary strat with new pickups, a bridge and neck pickup option on switch position 4 and individual tone control for the bridge pickup. was really fun! now I've got this Tele as well, first of all because it looks so great.
I'm having a new project in mind but am lost for some information: based on your project and knowledge, can you specify what is the colour coding for the stock humbuckers in this guitar? (north/south start/finish). I'm new to humbuckers and the informations provided on the net vary greatly and are kinda confusing.
any help would be appreciated very much and thanks in advance. rock and solder on.

Welcome to modding. This chart should help with the color codes for most humbuckers. guitarelectronics.com/guitar-wiring-resources/humbucker-wire-color-codes/

Nice video! Sorry for a newbie question, but if I prefer this guitar without the pickguard, could I easily remove it and leave it blank?

Thank you. Yes you can. You will have small screw holes but that is it.

Mojotone makes a solderless wiring harness for Les Paul’s. You think that would drop in the way they do for an LP? Or is the spacing too big/too small for the premade harness. Hoping you find this comment, thanks in advance.

If it is the circuit boards they make it may not fit. If it is a wire based drop in then any of the rewired LP harnesses would fit perfectly.

Were the original pots 250K or 500K?
