For its time, they were pretty fast
They run 12.3-12.5 stock. Lets assume this one is ultra high mileage and not necessarily running as good as it should and runs 13.1 instead. Thats still not slow. The internet is just spoiled with 1000+hp supercars and dont give anything else the time of day unless it makes double that power, rips the pavement off the ground when it accelerates and twists the earth of its axis in the process. Yall really kill me lmao

The personifies why some of us love German cars to bits. They possess a charm, sophistication, panache, to convert raw brutal power into something magnificent. Those need the X-Pipe, Vibrant race resonators & high speed cats to cut out the slight rough edge into a finely tuned beast.
Not to mention overengineered exhaust system.. wtf was that converter 🤣

Actually sport mode is for the transmission so it can shift faster and I have 55 AMG so I know what I’m talking about I have 05 E55 AMG

well i guess i lucked out my v6 is referred to be "not that raspy" but damn these comments are saying this v8 has a bit of rasp. i guess i saved 10g+ not buying a v8 for that 1 second faster 0-60 that still sounds like it has a rasp.

If it has catalytic converters, if it has mid mufflers, IT'S NOT A TRUE STRAIGHT PIPE. I'm sorry, but I'm a stickler about what does and does not qualify as a straight pipe exhaust.
TRUE straight pipes don't have catalytic converters.
Quick way to turn a German classic in to a common piece of noisy American trash! Owned many high line Mercs and would NEVER trash them with these mods !!!!
