A little bit of projectile speed buff and cooling rate buff then this shotgun will be super comfy to use. It's weird how so many kinetic weapon has faster projectile than a literal laser xD
Well, it's because they probably aren't really lasers at all. They likely just use a laser to condition the particle and/or the path that it will be traveling down.
The vp66 is really versatile, but you'll have a rough time against anyone w a different shotgun (although at a very specific range it outperforms them). Plus the charge attack doesn't necessarily overheat it
I love that laser shot gun so much. It feels good to shoot. But I feel it's only really pivotal with 150spec.

the lasers have faster projectiles than all the kinetics. the shotgun is the only exception

Laser crossbow is great
The range on the 66LS is really nice, but the charge time and damage are either too long and too low, or I've used the WUERGER way way too much.
