- Our First Week Back to Homeschool Off Grid in the Middle of Nowhere in Canada. This year will look very different for us! I didn't want to only share our first day back to our new routine but I wanted to share a week ( Monday to Friday). It's going to be a very Realistic Week in the Life and hope that I can offer you some encouragement.

❤ New here? My name is Gina and I am a homeschool mom of 3 kids. (9 year old, a 4 year old and 2 year old). I have worked full time time and homeschooled my kids, but I am currently a stay at home homeschool mom and I am enjoying this season of stay at home mom life! I live in Ontario Canada in the middle of nowhere. We currently are living in less than 300 sq feet on 40 acres of land and building our home and homestead. I loved this update so much. Everything is coming along so nicely. You guys are such an inspiration and your hair is ahhhmazing girl! My hair used to be so curly and full like yours. When I turned 35 or so my hair texture changed and it's not as voluminous as yours anymore. Yours is SO beautiful!
You are honestly so sweet. It's usually in a bun these days 😅 as you could see from the video... the bun is so huge its lopsided 😳 but yeah my hair definitely changed after I had kids! It's less curly believe it or not!

We took 6 weeks off for summer. Last year we only took a month but a lot less than the 3 months other kids get. It gives us more flexibility to have more field trips\fun days. We're in our 4th year homeschooling.

Thanks for sharing Gina! I always enjoy watching your videos. That’s happens to me often with rice. We use glass bowls to store our leftovers and my husband leaves the full side of the rice bowl facing the fridge door. When I open the door it looks like the bowl is full so I don’t worry about making rice not knowing that there’s less than half amount of rice in the bowl 😂 Totally sets everything off.

We do year round schooling maybe less in summer cuz we go camping a lot. And when we do school work i just focused on math and reading. So diving full on this week (public school is back to school) feels different but good.

How do you survive hard days you probably don’t have help either! First year homeschooling ITS HARD
First year was so HARD for me. I'm going to share my first year Homeschooling on my channel and how hard it was for me and my struggles. It's hard for me to talk about but I've been feeling impressed to talk about it... I'm going to try and film that video asap and get it up :)
Since they love the woods how do you teach safety I be scared they wonder off
We definitely already had the safety talk and they know not to go into the forest without mom/dad and the dogs. It's almost when you tell your child not to open the door to a stranger at the door or go outside by themselves without a parent... they can do it... but they know they absolutely can not. And they are usually within eyesight of me if I'm doing dishes and I'm like a hawk lol 😅

I am so old school right? Haha My mom used to and still cooks rice in a pan and i just inherited it from her 😅 once we have a larger space I will definitely be investing it one!
