Man I sat through 4minutes of that annoying music just for that? Could have been condensed into 40sec. TLDR the brushes are fucked, replace that or buy a new one.
Same thing happened to ours. After 1-2 years the whole engine broke with the whole axis coming loose. We bought a new one, which now we realise is a mistake. After a month of use it starts to smell if we let it run for more than like 5 seconds. I find it is spinning way too fast.
I have the same burning smell, and it's gotten worse and worse. Mine is not new, but also only about 2 years old. Made a lot of smoothies in mine, so I guess, without opening it, it's probably worn out. I recently bought my son a Ninja personal blender and it is much better made. I will not buy another Nutribullet again.
I would say the best is get a whole new blender. Even if you change the brush, it can get burn again. And if the new brush doesn’t fit well, it makes loud noise like it’s gonna explode:(
@randomhomegadgets I'm starting to agree. It's probably more hassle than it's worth trying to fix it. Especially as (as of yesterday), the plastic base gear ⚙️ broke too, lol.
Hey, awesome vid! I was able to do all the steps and found out my brushes are half the size of yours. Sorry yo ask, but what are they're function? Maybe that's why it's smells like it's burning
The carbon brushes are the contact point with the motor that transfer electricity to the motor. The motor rotates and sliding on them constantly, which can overheat and burn.
Got it. So, I bought one in the US a couple of years ago, and it seems here in Brazil they don't have an original substitute piece. Do you think any generic one could work as a replacement?
You should be able to replace the brush with new ones, but I’m not sure about the size. Should check with your local hardware store to see if they have the correct size to replace.
You can get them on Amazon. Here is an example: www.amazon.com/Pcs-Replacement-Electric-Carbon-Brushs/dp/B00KHUY69O/ref=asc_df_B00KHUY69O/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693281889309&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8716443281661460126&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032481&hvtargid=pla-306936514947&psc=1&mcid=c342bba70f863d90bcd9c0ce6ddbf89d&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwxLKxBhA7EiwAXO0R0IfxmcF69RCZXD5V9b3tznALiO84nfr95OmfR95oc132R8EsyWrwaxoCMcoQAvD_BwE
For the first few time use the burning smell could be just from heating up of small amount of motor oil in the motor. But if the burning smell continues, then should get a refund/replacement...
Too loud music mate, can't really hear you. Feels like someone is trying to tell me about his blender when we're at a night club. 💩
Ha ha, thanks for the tips. I do turn down the background music much more in the newer videos.

Most unhelpful video ever made 😂

Yah, I don't think Nutribullet is designed for long term use. I changed to Ninja brand and had no issue so far.
Is it safe to use if it's making burning smell? Will the juice still be ok to drink from it? Anyone?
Informative video, but the music is annoying as hell

Yah, I ended up getting a Ninja blender and so far no issues. Eventually the motor will wear out, but at least last much longer than the Nutribullet.
@@randomhomegadgets What model did you buy? Thanks!
If I replace the brush won’t it just start burning again or do they need to be replaced every so often? Mine is now smoking 🤦🏻♀️

Mine had been good for a long time but now burning. Wonder if it's worth repairing or getting a new one. What did you do?
I would just buy a new one :)

Awesome video! Thanks! Do you know the size of the brushes? I can't find them online.
I couldn't find the size online either. From my measurement it's likely a 5mm x 8mm one.
@@randomhomegadgets Thanks!

This is the third time I’ve used mine and it’s already doing this shit! I’ll never buy another blender again!
Yah this blender is only for light duty use. It wears out very quick.
Great tutorial! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Where would you get the brushes from?
You can get them on Amazon. What's with the music?
I just got mine on Friday and blend some coconut and it got a little bit heated and won't start
Yah, if it’s already burned after the first use then it’s a defected unit, should return it
Mine burned out on first use.
Ok so where do I get new brushes?
Home improvement store (such as home depot) and hardware stores (such as ACE hardware) will have them.
@@randomhomegadgets I’ll have to try that. I can see Ace having it but not sure about the others. Thanks I’ll try them.

Hello, thx for your video, I have I Nutribullet for 2 monds now and this morning it stopped working and I van smel the moter is overheat and burned 😢
Yah, Nutribullet’s motor gets burned easily. I switched to Ninja nowadays
My machine has a burning smell from the very first use after unpacking. So far used it 3 times
For the first few time use the burning smell could be just from heating up of small amount of motor oil in the motor. But if the burning smell continues, then should get a refund/replacement...
So in other words buy a new one 😅
You can try to replace the brush, but otherwise yah get a new one 😆
The music is so noisy 😢
Sorry, my early videos didn’t turn the background music down :(
