I wish Leatherman would make some more trade specific models. Personally I'd be interested in something geared towards data cables like cat 3/5/6 and maybe even some punchdown and wire pick capabilities, and something geared more towards electrical work. I'd also LOVE the option for a plier head with SIDE cutters (need not be replaceable, I'm not cutting nails or bolts), not their center mounted cutters. The centered cutters are useless when trying to clip the heads off of zip ties on tightly bundled cable. I actually keep a small pair of Channellock diagonal cutters on me specifically for that purpose. Standard side cutters would alleviate that as well as add in a nice nail pulling capability. I defy anyone to tell me they haven't pulled a nail with some type of cutters. lol Non-rplaceable side cutters should also add some length to the cutter which would help greatly when cutting cat 5 or 6 cables to length. The replaceable blade cutters are a tad short to go through cleanly in one cut. Locking outside accessible one handed opening drivers and a straight edge Wharncliffe/Sheepsfoot blade would be great as well. They have one specifically for the Survival Bros (the Signal), why not have some other more specific use models? Or maybe I just haven't seen them yet. lol Edit: Oh yeah! I also forgot that on my electrical specific multi tool/pliers it might be nice to switch out the wood saw for a stabby style drywall jab saw. A wood saw will work, sure, but it just needs the sharp tip to punch through the wall with and the larger teeth are appreciated for faster material removal when dealing with something as soft as drywall. I don't know that I've really ever had to cut wood with any of my multi tool wood saws, but drywall and/or hacksaws would be much handier.
I’m a technician in a 5 star hotel and I’m using this tool up to one year it is amazing tool still it good to use..only some paint gone other its all tools are working well.
Got mine a year ago, I like it's simple yet solid used,in an electrician and like having it for everyday residential use, it did have a long break in period until everything loosened up
Totally agree! It lacks a bit holder in lieu of the fixed Phillips screwdriver. Unfortunately, it's so easy to slap any good names on a tool but not taking care of quality control. I believe it would have been better for Klein Tools to partner with a leading multitool manufacturer to get it right. Keep up your excellent work!
Unless Leatherman releases a Juice ES4, or a Wave EL, we won't have any good full-size electrician's multi-tools. I have yet to see one that works well.
If you work with mostly solid wire. Or the soft rubbery coated wire it might get you by. But it definitely comes up a lil short. I have a set of klein catapult wire strippers and those are amazing, and made in America of course
Thanks for the honest review. I hate to see a great brand like Klein brought down by a mediocre product and particularly so when they are sourcing it from China just to make a quick buck. This doesn't have several tools that I would expect based upon what tool makers are putting into their lineman pliers and strippers now. There should be a reamer on the pliers head, as you noted there should be a file, and the stripper jaws should be replaceable. If they had gone to Leatherman with a complete set of requirements they could have built a cobranded tool that would have been an industry leader. What a shame.
wire strippers on mine are fine, but I do not use it on the job; that's what the real Kleins are for. Deffo needs a bit holder, and there's spare space to hold bits... Make a 2.0 please, Klein! And maybe add a prying tool.

I like the idea of specialized multi tools. I think a drywall saw would be an excellent choice on an electrical based multi tool.

Have you tried the Victorinox Electrician? I love the little cable cutting blade on that knife.

It's a shame too. Klein has such a good reputation. I wish they hadn't put their name on this one.
Are the Pliers cast , or forged ?

That is the style of wire strippers my brother uses as well. They are pretty awesome.
