Bleacher Report is just blathering - a team going all in on youth and speed doesn't need an aging vet who ain't that mobile. $5 million for Tannehill would be a waste of money...
Clifford hasn’t proven squat as a back up. In fact when they brought him in against the Cowboys, it was a total mess, both sides of the ball. I don't think we should sign Tannehill but there is no evidence of Cliffords capability yet.
@@anthonyr587 - Clifford played really good during pre-season at QB completing passes to receivers in stride at a high rate. I’d have no problem with him coming in to lead this Packer’s offense if Love was not able to play due to an injury.
@@petervaichus6978pre-sesson is non-contact football played at half the speed of the nfl. It's not a strong sample size. I'd like to think you are right but the evidence is just not there yet. There's been plenty of guys who look good in preseason who don't cut it when it gets real.
@@rondent2879 lol. why do people come up with this shit? You cannot judge someone until they have thrown a ball in the NFL with a good sample size. None of the Packers backups have done that. None. Throwing in college and looking good in preseason when it’s a noncontact sport are totally irrelevant.
Tan is a seasoned vet but I don’t see him coming to GreenBay. Clifford did some interesting things over in Penn State. He became the school’s all-time QB in every stat while under 4 different OCs. He finally has had a year to pick up the MLF offense. if Love should miss some games, the Pack could probably win some games with Clifford as the signal caller. Pratt isn’t pro ready. He’ll need at least a season on the bench to pick up the offense. He does have some intriguing physical abilities.
The Packers were still surprised Kalen King was still available in the 7th round of the 2024 NFL draft. Kalen King is now certain he’ll have a permanent chip on his shoulder entering the NFL with our Green Bay Packers. Asked about examples of a player taking advantage that he could remember, our new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley immediately brought up K’Waun Williams, who went from tryout player to starting nickel. Kalen King lined up as the slot at times during minicamp. Go Pack Go 💚💛
We don’t need any more QBs. One it’s a waste of money, second we don’t have the roster slots. The OL will have all the questions answered in the coming months before preseason. Good stuff man. Keep up the good work.
Not gonna happen. You’re gonna pay Love upwards of 50 million. Then pay another 5 million for a backup? Nope. Dillard is the essentially same player as Humphrey only cheaper.
That is the most ignorant thing I heard .. we have 3 QBs now .. don't need him ... there are plenty of teams that have weak backup QBs , that is nonsense... Keep up the great content
Honestly it’d be very surprising if they signed anyone else until camp at the earliest. They’ve drafted so many guys the past 3 years and most of them are still with the team. Seems like Gute is more than happy to develop these young guys
The reporter knows nothing about the packers. Move #3 is the only one that makes a little sense but I think we are gonna try to utilize our new safetys in the slot. I will be surprised if they packers add any FA at this point unless injury happens during camp.
Lol I thought they were gunna say as a coach I didn’t even know he was still playing and we just drafted that young guy they don’t no what they are talking about.
Ah, I wonder how much Bleacher Report got paid by Tannehill's agent to write this absurdity? While I am in the camp of backup QB is actually an important position, signing a washed up Ryan Tannekill is not what I had in mind. Clifford is fine for now.
I think we are solid at Quarterback and should not waste a penny on that. If you want to try and get a free agent, look for an edge rusher or someone too plug up running lanes. A gab A or B gabs.
Absolutely not; That's the most stupid thing I could imagine them doing. I'm good with the young bucks in case of emergency. Hopefully it doesn't need to come to that. We paid 15M/yr before we drafted Love... It's much better to have serviceable backups on a rookie deal, That's the way they should keep it!! Imo.
At this point , i think all the outside football analysts and NFL sources are all fake news that dont know crap about the Packers.. i only watch content creators, all outside sources are always off..
They want people to click on their story, anyone who follows this team just a little bit know they won’t bring in off injured backup in. Ted Thompson is gone
Packers already have Pratt and Clifford battling for the backup QB job. Tannehill wouldn't stand a chance of making the final 53 in Green Bay. Just because some ignorant clown writes or says something doesn't mean you give it any credibility. There is zero chance the Packers would pursue Ryan Tannehill.
Talking heads second guessing. Just an excuse to peddle something as "news". Let 'em talk. I kinda like where we are right now. Some of that is based on how the draftees pan out. Let it roll and adjust on the fly. GO PACK GO!
Well he could sit behind Jordan but he can also show him things he's a vet yes Jordan learned from Rodgers but it could make sense and honestly he would make a great backup

Exactly, it's ignorance
Hard pass on Ryan Tannehill as the Packers have no need for him with Clifford good enough as a backup QB.

Pratt has a higher ceiling than Tannehill ever had.

This is a ridiculous take. Why oh why would we do this? Clifford is better than tannehill
Maybe even Pratt to. 😂
To get rid of Clifford before he starts outplaying Love.
Why would we want Ryan ..😂
lol that N suck I’d trust one of the backup’s over him😂
, right 😂😂😂
Lmao wtf. Bleacher report has become a complete joke

Thts wht other teams do, sign a guy wit a name who we all know sucks. We draft a develop qb talent

Ryan Tannehill and I share the same birthday I say do it he's a veteran presence in the QB room
The writer is just making conversation.

I haven’t read a. Leather Report article in ages. Looks like I made the right decision.
Sean Clifford is a stud. He is a great #2
This is plain quackery, it’s obvious that bleacher report shouldn’t be in the GM or coaching business.
I think we are solid at Quarterback and should not waste a penny on that. If you want to try and get a free agent, look for an edge rusher or someone too plug up running lanes. A gab A or B gabs.
as a Packers hater, I also think yall should pay Tannehill
Typical off season click bait
Veteran back up isn’t a bad idea

How do they know our QB room is weak!!!! They said that crap about Purdy and was wrong AGAIN. SO WE GOOD IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT GO-PACK-GO
Sean Clifford will be fine if love get hurt. Clifford has 2yrs in the system
That's why they are in the bleachers.
At this point , i think all the outside football analysts and NFL sources are all fake news that dont know crap about the Packers.. i only watch content creators, all outside sources are always off..
Literally zero reason to sign him. I like Pratt. He will surprise people.
If Love goes down we roll with Pratt or Clifford and it will be fine
They want people to click on their story, anyone who follows this team just a little bit know they won’t bring in off injured backup in. Ted Thompson is gone
No thanks
Sign Tannehill if Derrick Henry is included, wait sign King 👑 Henry and forget Ryan. The Bleacher Report report is strange and hogwash.
Nop. I'm ok with Clifford or Pratt if J-Lo goes down.
There's absolutely no way the Packers go get Tannehil. Actually...it's less than zero

Stephon Gilmore should be a guy we get…. It’s obvious… CB room isn’t deep at all….
I’m sorry but this is a reach 😂. Clifford and Pratt are both solid backups. This contributes zero to the team.
Yeah to wash wash jock straps
NO
Talking heads second guessing. Just an excuse to peddle something as "news". Let 'em talk. I kinda like where we are right now. Some of that is based on how the draftees pan out. Let it roll and adjust on the fly. GO PACK GO!
Thats all click bait
Clifford is the best QB on the roster. Bleacher Report is for clowns.
Well, this is content. I guess 😂
noooooo
My first though why?
Hello
Alex? Lmao. Who is this clown?
Nah
Stay away from Tannehill.
😂😂😂😂😂
Well he could sit behind Jordan but he can also show him things he's a vet yes Jordan learned from Rodgers but it could make sense and honestly he would make a great backup
Whoever wrote that Bleacher report needs to go back to proofreading class
A fool wrote it.
