I'm usually into deeper, meaningful metal like Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Dream Theater, and good old Metallica... But holy hell, this is like an epic reference to every genre of metal at once! I think if Soup really pushed for it, they could get way bigger.
oh they could. for damn sure. the world doesnt seem quite ready for a gaming youtuber to do something more "normal" in entertainment. if this really is an equal passion i have a feeling he is waiting for the world to be able to accept someone like him as a serious musician

I definitely think they have a lot of potential.. this is my favorite song on the album for sure. As they mature as a band I think they will find their sound. love soup and I’m looking forward to see what they put out in the future!! 🤟🏼
Each new song I listen too I can hear a differnt influence. I really felt a Sepultura feel in this one, and with the "die" chant started, of course reminded me of Creeping death.
The part when soup said “when you biggest fear comes to life will you stand up and fight? I never felt so powerful in my life 💨 slackjaw is a whole beast of a band can’t wait for them to hit the west coast
So many different influences in the band just to name a few Metallica, Gojria, TOOL, Slipknot, Ozzy/blacksabbath, and many more the list just goes on they are a perfect blend of all weather it be vocals or instrumentals
This song ia definitely one of my favorites on the album, very slipknot esc in the opening- and then feels metallica through the middle before rounding back
This sounds very similar to a Rammstein song, though I can't recall the name. I love that Slackjaw seems to be a beautiful blend of a bunch of different metal influences, and they just really let it out in waves via different songs
I though some of the other songs were really good (I listened to them way out of order) and I have to say, this Is a VERY heavy Gojira influence, you have a perfect mix of letting the instruments do some of the speaking, and then going balls deep with the screaming, this is the kind of music I love to hear, and I couldn't be more hyped to hear your music, and I can't wait to see what else you make in the future, great job on this song, and the entire album in general. 👍
God damn I have never been more shocked in my life I'm sitting outside at 5AM waiting to go pick up garbage for 8 hours and I find this wild shit I have small bit of faith for the soulth I mean not much but you get the idea
If I ever come out of retirement to have one more MMA fight, I'm walking out to a Slackjaw song. Hate Affair, Mean It, whatever....I'll win because of it.
@@maverickgreenall5044 dude I’ve been saying that forever. Goons superband. McNasty Singer, Dooo lead, Soup and Blarg could interchange Rhythm and Bass, and Grizzy Beatbox. Would totally slap!
@@wheattoast1971 idk if beatboxing would be a good fit for that band combo though tbh. Maybe grizzy could be on a digital piano playing pipe organ chords and stuff or something like that. I feel like it would fit the feel of the band better. He could also be the type to pick up drumming. I could see grizzy being a drummer tbh
this song and gallows are probably my two favorites but the whole album is amazing. i added this album to my playlist with all the legendary rock and metal bands and it fits in so perfect. sometimes ill skip metallica or slipknot just to find one of there songs
Nothing will ever beat Caught in the Crossfire for me but this is definitely giving that a run for its money. Absolutely love this band and can't wait for the lads behind these bangers to start getting the attention they deserve.
All the comments and people don't see this is NuMetal. Everything you guys are hearing homage from, is literally that. Korn and Body Count is heavy here if anyone is saying anything
Slackjaw is extremely underrated, it deserves way more recognition.
Tranquilo no más...
Love how the text flickers
I FUCK with how Dallas says “Phantasmagoria” at 2:24. 🤘🏻

I feel as if Im watching legends in the making
Same bro
First things first though; better album art 😬

Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks that
Gojira as well.
@@Elnacho1698 yes agreed all of what her said and gojira
This song makes me want to send my truck off a jump at full speed into a barn
ive done that...off a cliff...in an '02 Santa Fe
Or in the case of soup, his friend's dad's truck into a farmer's field with the headlights off at night after being chased by a loon.

Some dimbag for sure
Most definitely Gojira influences vocals-wise
And crowbar
I definitely hear the gojira and tool the most
@@carcass85 First thing I thought when I heard the vocals. Not hating, props 🤘
This song ia definitely one of my favorites on the album, very slipknot esc in the opening- and then feels metallica through the middle before rounding back
Don't compare this to shotknots pathetic excuse for music
Grew up on metal all my life. Gotta say this is up there can't wait to see how they grow over time keep it up

The guitar at the beginning is so immersive. Love it
That's a cool drum part in the intro 🤘🤘
Ey soup + unnamed other members, do you think we can get a music vid for this it’s my fav song
This is definitely my favorite song from you guys. This is amazing!!!
I love this kind of style, dude. It reminds me of Static-X but it's unique in it's own right
One of the best songs of the album imo
This is a badass song soup🤘

I can really tell the tool influence here but i love it because it has so much more
I think this has to be my favorite song so far. Love the sound of it. Fits so well together.
Legit the more I listen to this song the more I love it
Holly fucking shot found my new favorite band
I’m picking up vibes of gojira and mastodon. Sounds incredible guys, keep it up 👍

Soup in a band, band with Soup
God dam I never woulda thought that SOUP’S band would actually be THIS good like I was expecting some pretty good stuff but not fuckin Metallica tier.
I wasn't lying when I said time to listen to nothing but slackjaw a year ago
Amazing song! Get death (the band) vibes off of the solo
Sounds nothing like deaths trash

Loving all of the songs
I get a strong feeling that Soup listens to a lot of Gojira and Meshuggah
I feel like this song has a fear factory feel to it
I’m not even that deep into metal but this is fire keep coming back to it
Would love to see longer songs. This one destroyed 🕷
Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it😎
This one is my favorite on the album
It sounds a bit like Tear Away by drowning pool
Going to listen to nothing but slackjaw now
Gucci belt on when I'm cranking up slackjaw
Bro this hit harder than my dad high and drunk at the same time
🤘🤘
This is fucking amazing! 🔥 Any idea on when new merchandise will be released or old stuff restocked?
00:41 reminds me of the cod zombies theme when the round ends
That intro gives me Call of Ktulu vibes
Slackjaw feat. TheDooo coming soon?
This is great.
This is fucking sick respect 🤘🏻💯💥
Gojira vibs all day
Fear Factory meets Crowbar, mix with Damage Plan and a touch of hardcore
