I was invited by two sisters from the village, who currently live and work in the city. They graciously took me to their home village, which was a 4-hour journey. Upon arrival, their grandmother warmly welcomed me, and I immediately felt at home. We embarked on a tour of the village and later visited the farm to gather veggies and mangoes for dinner. Mariem, I believe the durian you had might not have been fully ripe yet, which is why it didn't have a strong smell. My first experience with it was in Thailand, and it was incredibly pungent-I couldn't handle it! I even asked my husband to eat it away from me while I loaded up on mint! Trying new things is truly wonderful. You're fortunate to have met such a lovely family and to experience life in a rural setting,I love it. love from Sydney ❤

Sister take care of what you want to eat for yourself ( Frog meat is considered as haraam (non-halal) according to some Islamic dietary laws. Those who consider it haraam cite the hadith that prohibits the killing of frogs, together with ants, bees, and seabirds.)
If you’ve watched the video, you would see that I put in the caption that it’s not halal and that I only recorded. Even if it was halal I wouldn’t eat it because it’s not for me.

So what did you eat instead of frog, and how you can be sure they don't use any pork in the seasonings, sauces and whatever. Thailand is not easy with halal ingredients...
I enjoyed fish and white rice, along with white rice and mango. The fish was seasoned with salt and peppers and cooked in palm oil. I'm an adult who is self-aware. Thank you for watching though!
