This headphone amp sounds wild. All of the samples were recorded using it as an audio interface directly to my Mac! Tech is getting so good and it's $99 USD! Crazy times! Let me know what you think and thanks to Flamma for sponsoring this video. My pros and cons are at the end and you can check it out here - www.flamma.shop/?ref=zcyeq0ja (affiliate link)
Hi Shane, do you have any opinion on this compared to the nux mighty plug (pro)? To me this sounds better than the nux. Is this also true when playing with it directly?
On the FX10 (older version) you definitely can, it combines the guitar and Bluetooth in in the USB output. You'll have to record into something other than the phone that's sending out the Bluetooth though, or vice versa - use another phone or tablet to play the music and then use your phone's camera to make a video, or use your phones USB in to record the audio, or even a computer, whichever way you want. I assume this newer one works the same way? But I don't own it.
I have the flamma fx10 and I love it. This sounds like exactly the same, but just with an app to control it. Is that a fair comparison? Or are there Other meaningful differences?
Shane! I was quite under the weather in December, brother! I hadn’t been sick in 10 years, except for a cold, and then got a triple threat short term medical condition. I’m back 100 percent, and I love the product you just reviewed. The looseness of the device is definitely a concern, and before I order one, I’ll personally call the company, and address your professional concerns. It’s better to catch a potential problem before it goes mainstream, than get a bad reputation, or have to do a recall.✨✨✨
Nice tones, now you got me in the mood, wait a sec let me load up my awesome expensive audio interface, one minute i gotta free up a usb c slot... there it is wait a second while i do some cable managment. Ok there we go, now lets load my daw, oh crap i cant hear you anymore, daw takes over my audio , dangit, i cant really jam along unless i get this mixer right? I wont do that now, lets load up some plugins, geez i wish the daw woud stop trying to organize my plugins i cant find any of them and they all have wierd names, screw this take my $100 I just want to play! JK loading up my DAW and interface isnt that painful but definately not as fast as these things. I love my fender mustang micro and happy to see other players in the market, was hoping to see something from mesa/gibson like a high gain version but nice to see a smorgusboard of options from Flamma. Im curiouse what kind of chip theyre building this around, its got some seriouse DSP capabilities and a 24 bit audio interface, at leaste the one Fender uses does. I thought they used some custom thing but looks like others are using it or similar.
Your videos are excellent. I need to ask you a question about this device. Can it be connected to a looper pedal? Could it be done through the headphone output with a 3.5 mm (1/8´´) stereo to 6.5 mm (1/4´´) mono jack adapter? I hope you can help me. Many, many thanks and greetings from Argentina.
Way to use both hemispheres Shane! - lefty inside jk there Been waiting for something like this ever since I dropped my Korg Pandora a few years back. Excellent for ideas on the fly A looper/save option would really complete this unit for travelling/when the universe gifts you those incredible composing moments 👍 Just ordered mine through your link. Thx bro
Howdy Shane. Thanks for another great review...and what looks like the first online review of this baby. Have you tried the response of those dirty sims to the guitar volume? Will they clean-up?
Have you compared this to nux might pro headphone amp? Thank you for your videos, You do a great job explaining and showing what the products are like.
Hey - I know you made it sound really good but i ordered it and i was underwhelmed. I guess i'm not good at setting it up right. I remember test driving the Fender Mustang equivalent and i was going through good sounds with more ease. Anyway for others, know that you need to work some to get the sounds you like.
I have the NUX Mighty Plug... Looks like this has (1) a hardware volume! (2) easier presets (3) tuner. But the mighty plug looks nicer with the gloss black plastic and the LED. Any other points to be aware of? Would this work with IOS? The Mighty Plug draws too much power if you just plug it in via a USB to lightning with my older iPad.
Idk, don't know if I trust a USB out to work like AUX out from the computer to play backing track riff on VLC. Does it need an app that won't work like the great VLC player ? that sux
Mmmh.... I think you won't need this one as the new BOSS Katana Go is on the market! It has a small display , build in tuner in the amp -> don't need the app as this one for tuning. Also acces to all Katana presets with a fantastic sound and many more for around 130€. I had the Fender Mustang micro before. The sound was fantastic but the funtionality of the Katana go is much better. Maybe a review will come here?
Yes. There's one app and no paid or paid upgraded content from what I can see on there. I did mention that somewhere in the video, but the video is quite long, it might have been in the wrap up section of pros and cons.
It sounds better than I expected! I was pleasantly surprised.

I can really see this as being a recording solution for song writers
Great review.
Is it possible to use the cellphone sound as a backing track?

Wholly Schmokes, that is impressive! The future is here!

It’s really amazing how much technology is available in a small unit!! A really useful tool for recording! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I just wonder if it's better overall than a Fender Micro ?

That is like a Mustang Micro on steroids.

Sound great! In ur profesional ears sound like the real amp or sound like a digital copy ?
These things just get better & better hey?
1 of your longest vids in a LONG time!

I like the sound of this. I had a Mustang micro, loved the cleans but couldn’t find a driven/distorted sound I liked.
Howdy Shane. Thanks for another great review...and what looks like the first online review of this baby. Have you tried the response of those dirty sims to the guitar volume? Will they clean-up?
Unrelated to this tiny interface (looks good!), does the wallet in the pocket help stop the guitar slipping when sitting down? Might try this!
I think it helps for sure depending on your posture.
Will the drums record on a daw like the guitar?
Have you compared this to nux might pro headphone amp? Thank you for your videos, You do a great job explaining and showing what the products are like.
It sounds just fantastic

Impressive selection of amp models for a unit this size but would have happily traded 5 of them for the inclusion of a few overdrive pedals!
*Boss Katana Go has entered the chat.*
Unfortunately it was short lived and discontinued 😞

Can you tap tempo with the buttons? Or just toggle through tempos like on fx10?
What happens if you connect the headphone output into a tube amplifier? Asking for a friend 😉
Sounds good ;)
What the sound quality (bit rate) of recorded sound..
It seems to me like the nux mighty plug pro. Very usefull tool.
fg me the jamtrack is nice. Load up the tabs plz.
I would change the drummachine buttons to a eq.
It's FLAMMAING good! ;oP
Vs nux mighty plug?
How does this compare to Mooer P2?
I don't think I have tried the P2 from memory.
Are all the app free sets free,Shane. That's what has put me off the spark.
Yes. There's one app and no paid or paid upgraded content from what I can see on there. I did mention that somewhere in the video, but the video is quite long, it might have been in the wrap up section of pros and cons.
@@intheblues Thanks . This seems like a really useful bit of kit. Good review.
Could you imagine the impact this would have if you could get a decent speaker/cab with a blue tooth connection.
No fuzz??
Круто 🤟
Have one but not as good as the boss katana go.except the flamma has drum tracks built in.
