━━ About VISITFLANDERS ━━━━━━━━
As a Flemish government agency that is strategy and knowledge-driven, VISITFLANDERS is committed to the sustainable development and promotion of Flanders as a top tourist destination. We don’t do this by ourselves. Together with our tourism partners, we work to allow Flanders to flourish as an innovative, high-quality travel destination and to inspire potential visitors to put the region at the top of their bucket lists. Our ultimate goal? Using tourism to help Flanders flourish as a destination! We do so both for our residents and entrepreneurs and for you, our visitors. We pay special attention to sustainability, accessibility and family-friendliness.
We focus on the intense experience of a place, a destination. This can involve meaningful encounters, specific activities or a sustainable travel formula. Instead of concentrating on a specific city or region, we develop broader Flemish narratives based on interdependent themes. Wherever possible, we combine these themes to further strengthen people’s experience. Welcome to Flanders!

Wundervolles Gemälde... bin so froh, dass ich es vor 2 Wochen sehen konnte... die Farben sind wirklich traumhaft...
I did the master of detail tour recently and the VR and the restoration everything was amazing!
It is so sad that the panel stolen years ago is still lost to the world. Hopefully it will turn up sometime in the future, perhaps when whoever now has it realizes it needs to be returned to its home.
I hope so too. I suspect it’s somewhere outside Belgium, possibly France, in someone’s attic. You never know what you’ll find in an attic.
Mooi.
Please correct the title of this video. You must write ITS, not IT´S.
Done, thank you! 🙂
Does the Altarpiece open and close on it's own (automated) during a visit?
Hi, The good news is that, thanks to the glass frame, it is now always possible to view the inner and outer panels! However, the panels open daily at 10:30 am and close at 5:00 pm.
This is done by means of code and fully automatically with a system based on compressed air! Kind regards!
If a journalist or individual visitor wishes to attend this moment, it is recommended that they book a ticket at 10 am or at 4 pm.
