Mam, In the third illustartion for the second transaction it says as follows "Purchase goods for cash" number of accounts involved : 2 names of accounts involved : Purchase(nominal), cash(real) Purchases Account Action : Debit(As Purchase is an expense) Cash Account Action: Credit (Why?) Cash is an asset, and according to the credit debit rule if an asset is comming in(in this case Goods) then We should Debit the account Right?

The main word here was *purchased* so it was classified as nominal..

Purchases Account Action : Debit(As Purchase is an expense)
Cash Account Action: Credit (Why?)
Cash is an asset, and according to the credit debit rule if an asset is comming in(in this case Goods) then We should Debit the account Right?
Cash is going out due to purchase so cash account will be credited
