The problem, I think, is the water wicking in the fake grass to under the door frame. It needs a gap to breath. It can't butt up like that and stay dry. Get rid of the "grass".
Hi Martin. I've seen this sort of thing before with CCTV and night vision IR. It is a strand of spiders web moving in the wind and reflecting the IR source from the camera. This is the reason you can see it on your phone via the IR and not see it with your own eyes (because you don't see in IR) as Chris mentioned when he looked out. All the best, Ian.
Great video Martin, and as many has already said, the astro turf and the dekking is too close to the door frame and won't let water drain away, and water always take the easiest path which in this case, is inside the caravan. He should make a 10mm gap between the caravan and the dekking, and get rid of the astro turf. - and about the "alien" video, I also think it's a string of spider web with some droplets of water on it. It do not move in patterns, it is quite erratic, just like a small brise would do. And no, it's not a drone, unless someone had come up with a silent drone in the last couple of days, which I doubt. 😊
Martin the strange lights are almost definitely a cobweb with small dew drops catching and reflecting the ir light. We have the same cameras and I have captured almost identical before and on investigation found cobwebs, also explains why they appear in a perfect line 👍
Agree with others, get rid of astro turf from the front door otherwise water will sit there. As far as the lights are concerned I live in the countryside and have seen various lights over fields at night. It was usually hare coursing "gentlemen".The funniest thing was one night I saw the usual lights with people obviously walking with torches, next thing I saw blue flashing lights and the best light show ever as these fella's ran in all directions lol.Not seen them for a few years now.Stay safe.
Exactly same thing happened in my static van martin.. It was that water heater in the cupboard next to the door, bloody water can really cause some damage in these vans, good job you'd lost all that weight buddy you'd never have got under that decking 😁😁
You've definitely got that all wrong Martin. The young'un should have been crawling under the bowels of the earth whilst you directed him with a nice warm brew in your hand.
I think it’s a drone way it moves around. Good old caravan sponge floors use marine board or the green moisture boards you can buy for bathrooms you walk in with wet feet always going to be wet spots even if door sill fixed. Buy the brown spike matts least it stops water from shoes getting to the under floor & seal the new flooring . Bet the older boiler leak cause some of the damage too .
I have exactly the same problem with my old Cosalt Lifestyle static. Could you or anyone the thickness of timber I need to replace the rotten board. Thankyou.
It's cobwebs on the camera. I get the same on my camera and the IR will light up certain parts of a web but you can sometimes see the whole web dancing in the breeze and sometimes just a tiny bit of it reflected back. No aliens involved in the making of that film lol
Evening Martin That strange light was me driving the vengaboys bus back from Lincoln on a boys night out , we got lost and ended up in that field. I hope this resolves the problem and I apologise for the cock up we may have caused Cheers Phil
Need to make a 10mm gap between caravan door area and decking martin, this aint the only one ive seen thats had the same problem, the artificial grass doesnt help with drying off either mate...
I think it's aliens come for the bingo and a fridge magnet😂 😂 that is a real strange one Martin, I've heard of astronomers using infrared light to view possible UFOs in the night sky so who knows?
I would cut the decking about an inch away from the bottom of the door. Get some stix all crystal silicone / pure polimer from soudal to seal it best way probley to take the door frame out and bed it on with the sealant
You should use a Roof and Gutter sealant to seal along the bottom of that door but to stop it completely you need to remove the door and remove all the chipboard from under the thresh hold upto the new piece of ply you put down and then seat the door back onto the thick bead of roof and gutter sealant.
Well that’s a mess and I would test where the waters coming from by using the water hose and just sprinkle some water on where the mastic come away and that will show you where it’s coming from. I had the same issue in my Aunty’s garage it was just pouring in when it was raining from the door. So to test and to clarify I sprayed water all around it while someone was in side and it was lead to be on the bottom between the concrete and the wood door from so we had to replace the door which wasn’t too bad to do. Keep up the great work and thanks for the content stay safe and take care
Hi Martyn, I'm almost certain it's either a spider building a web or the web itself wet with water catching the light. I've had the same efect before. Mystery solved.
I noticed the camera was not clear which may suggest there is a spider making a web I have it all the time, needs to clean the camera with some alcohol wipes.
Lol personal I think he is sleep walking and peeing in the boiler room.. your a brave man. I would of expected to see a dead body under that van.. well you know what Fred west was all about lol good one mate
I tried to post on Chris's video but my comment isn't showing up. it was "google this! strange_flying_lights_on_ring_cam It looks like a spiders web and moves like you would expect in a breeze.

Nice job with the "crawl" Martin. Amazing what we can do when the job requires it!
It sure is Jack.

Great video Martin something completely different but nice to see your process of illumination
Looking at the video I was thinking is it a drone
Thanks William👍
Never a dull moment in Martin's life.
He’s just come for ride ant ya scrap it man lol
Lol
My thoughts aswell martin about water getting under that caravan door
Worst thing you can do is put fake grass onto decking martin so close to the threshold
super vid martin different content keeps the channel alive
Roy's The Boy Star of the Show lol
Haha that's right Roy lol
Exactly same thing happened in my static van martin.. It was that water heater in the cupboard next to the door, bloody water can really cause some damage in these vans, good job you'd lost all that weight buddy you'd never have got under that decking 😁😁
That decking is too high it’s almost level with the door threshold, any excess surface water is going to find its way straight in through that door.
Yes I think you are right but it was installed when he bought it.
Great video Martin good job !
Thanks 👍
I thought them lights at the caravan were fire flies at first but then convinced it was a drone
There was no noise though Pete.

Rather you then me under there Martin, bet thats nice on a summers day to sit out there cheers mark
You should dress up as light monsters at night and dance around chris's camera... spook him a little :)

Good evening Martin.
Hello there!

Yeah never cover a deck, it needs to dry, and drain properly, that will let water stand and rot the deck prematurely.
Eeck!
🤔🤔🤔🤔
It was a drone
No noise though.
