We read morning and evening prayers found in the Orthodox prayer book. Also, throughout the day we recite the Jesus Prayer quietly to ourselves, especially during empty moments and times of temptation: "O Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."
All of this together, helps us to develop a spiritual discipline, so we can control our thoughts, words, and deeds. When we pray fervently, we are touched by God's Grace, which strengthens us and fills us with peace.
