Well, to be fair, Sleazy sounds like Don.
Don's so cool. I met him briefly at DragonCon, years ago, and he was really friendly. A lot of the GWAR guys are.
For a longer video it felt like it was over really quick. I could listen to Don tell stories all day.
RUclips is full of vacuous horseshit but sometimes you find these gems where people who know what they're talking about take as much time as they need to talk about it. Really good stuff.

Love the little bit of dialogue by Don at the end "... All the men in the 1800's were badASSES, man, they weren't crossing their legs or anything, they were just bros being bros having the time of there life" lol. This was fun to listen to.
I know he doesn't want to tour anymore but, I can't wait to see the rest of them in a couple weeks, 05/19/22, and then see him at palefest in October.
Sleazy seemed to hint multiple times on his show that he's not welcome on the tour for not getting the covid shot.
So, cool to know that Don was an art major too and got his creative juices in a successful path. He’s not wrong about how art professors throw you to the wolves with the critiques..they say about everything to ruin your self esteem but look where Dons at! Such an inspiring individual, loved hearing about his life.

I always thought the guys in GWAR were somewhat insane, (although probably driven there by the world's workings). This was an enlightening interview, I was impressed with how practical and sensible Don is and how he navigated his survival. I was also impressed with his candid nature and his love for Dave.
Seeing Sleazy online is what got me into GWAR, just his character made me appreciate how much goes into each of the performances by all the artists. Such a multifaceted band that I can’t help but respect

The part about buying music in the 70s/80s as opposed to today (vinyl vs playlists)....I felt that.
As a kid you'd save your money to buy an album and play it front-to-back while saving your money to buy the next album.
Probably why I can recall every lyric from a Kiss album from the 70s as opposed to maybe kinda sorta mumbling along with the verses of in 2024.

Yeah. I agree with Don's views on metal. I work at a high school. All the kids listen to rap. Kids wear Iron Maiden & Def Leppard shirts but have no idea who the band is. It sucks.

This is beyond cool as a huge fan of GWAR and A.J. alike, much ike the recent unveiling of The Undertaker's behind the scenes career it's awesome to see someone outside of the band taking the time to scratch the surface of all the behind the scenes stories on GWAR's history and members. Here's to hopefully many more. Also any fans of GWAR should MOST DEFINITELY get the book "Let There Be GWAR" as it's basically a bible for a bohab. Standing ovation for Don and A.J. please! 👏👏👏

Really dug this Drakulich video. I managed to catch Don 13 years ago down at San Diego Vice Party, and he was the coolest fucking dude, just seemed content to chill outdoors with the half dozen bohabs and I that were hanging around by the back door of the venue. Answering any questions I could come up with about GWAR and once again affirming to me that anyone that I've ever met from GWAR are just basically nice people. That has always made a huge difference to me as a fan.
