I feel like Carly doesn't get enough credit for the growth and just Titan that she is. Has she done shady terrible shit? Yeah, most characters have, but she has also grown and has become someone who can swallow her pride and show compassion. She's also still real AF. She said, "I can and WILL use this against you later."
To me at first I thought Carly was being a little rough on Ava but watching that part of the soap over again I started to think that Carly was actually helping Ava by telling her to pull herself together and step up for Avery. She did tell her that it was not her fault about Ryan Chamberlin killing her daughter. After that having her call someone (Julian) to pick her up and letting Ava sleep on her couch until Julian came to pick her up. That was a lot for Carly to do so I think she stepped up to the best of her character. Both actresses did a great job!
This was a true rock bottom for Ava. It was good to see them. Carly being understanding and helpful to Ava. Even if it was just making a call for her to get picked up. Carly sees how desperate and empty Ava has become. And instead of using it against her she instead showed her growth.
Carly also lost a child. She resented Ava because of her responsibility in Morgan's death, and karma hit Ava by losing Kiki. They are on even ground now. Carly knows that no matter how horrible Ava is, no mother deserves to lose a child and Carly unfortunately knows that pain all too well.

Yes, and that serial killer is his way back to Ava. He will also try to finish Carly off. But I think Ava will kill him first before he harms Carly. Considering what Ava's done to Carly last year with that crazy Nelle. At least Carly has a heart More than I can say for Ava. Ava's conscious should have started earlier , when she found that blanket on the top of the stairs. But of course she kept it that big bag of hers, for leverage against Nelle. Then Carly would not have gone to Ferncliff ,because of Nelle's and Ava's lies. We also knew that Julian was waiting for Ava to call him for help. Which she finally did while she was at Carly's house.
