You can fill the buckets with soil when you plant them. I do this, and they grow up into the light easily. Saves having to earth up. I only had 1 out of 50 that failed to do so. I empty the bag into a wheelbarrow to harvest, saves mess on the ground, and easy to tip the soil back into the bucket or grow bag. Keep up the container potato growing.
I opened this video to see if I still have time to plant a second harvest. Explaining when you planted them and when you dug them up was very helpful to me. Thank you so much!
Awesome! Blessings to everyone, if you haven't yet repented and accepted christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please do so before it's too late it's not God"s will for none to perish. Acts 2vs 38 John 3vs 16 Romans 10 vs 13

Great job on the potato harvest! In listening to the whole video it seems to me that your son is very inquisitive! A sign of intelligence! Find him good answers while he’s young. There’s a lot of information on WHY green potatoes will make us sick if we eat them. That seems to be what he’s asking for. 😊 Good luck with all of your gardening and thank you for sharing!
Using 15 gal grow bags, and placing no more than 3 seed potatoes in a bag will produce a wonderful crop. also blood meal and bone meal with a just a little sulfur is great mixed into the "Loose" container soil
I am always fascinated on how you turned something into many kind of dishes. They are so mouth watering 🤤! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Nice job! Just what I needed. QUESTION: I have mine in pots. When I harvest can I dump the entire pot on one of my raised beds and leave the old soil there? I would add nutrients and plant something else. Thank You.
I haven’t tried anything specific. I did let the leaves breakdown in the buckets over the winter & just added more dirt for the spring planting and/or adding in nutrients
I too am trying to grow potatoes in a container this year. Instead of adding more soil i am using *dried* grass clippings, leaves, etc I started rather late in the season. The plants are not as robust as yours. And just this week began to form flower buds. I suppose I will harvest when the plants begin to die. I do not expect much from the harvest.
hey you want to create a stink bomb add potatoes in a bucket add water and let it sit for 2 weeks and boom . stink bomb has been made,,, i drew potatoes in a bucket , its them tiny round red ones
@Happy Humble Home I also noticed now that they're starting to turn, the soil is starting to sink in. Idk if that's normal or I'd I should add more? First time growing potatoes. Just seemed weird that the soil did that.
she looks just like my special ed teacher, and behaves just like her ... she loves getting all dirty working in the garden . ps keep tthoughs minds and into the garden
The things you were saying were rotted potatoes from watering, were the original seed potato.

Also, only wash them when you're going to cook them, they'll last longer if they haven't been washed

Keep them covered in the dirt to cure them. Its a protective coating. They last longer than if you wash them all off.

I make a crock pot stew every once in a while. Those little taters are perfect for that.
Very nice vlog..thanks for all the info
Love the shirt. Thank you for dressing appropriately for a video. I can't believe what I'm seeing lately.
Agree. Thank you, My Dear.
Nice harvest. What you called "wetrot" looks to be your seed or started potato.

Good job. You got a nice few! BIG like here!
Thank you!
Girl, where's your tarp, you gotta save that dirt, easier to pour back all of it ,your losing some in the grass

Yeah, that should work!
Yes you can reuse it, but it will lose some of its nutrients best to had 1/3 fresh compose to build it up
I'm hearing the potatoes need loose soil so they can expand and get big. Leaves mixed with soil, lawn thatch.
If you did more buckets of potatoes you could can them and have them throughout the year. Nice harvest :-):-):-)
Yes!! That’s my plan for next year ☺️

Looks like a good harvest
There should be a video diddicated to showing just the harvesting of container potatoes. Great video.
Don’t you have to cure potatoes before eating
No. Only have to cure them for storage, not for eating. Blessings everyone.
Doughnut shops have buckets too.
Walmart bakery charges where I live for buckets that they r going to throw away but save mart doesn't
Can you use the old soil for growing anything else?
I haven’t tried anything specific. I did let the leaves breakdown in the buckets over the winter & just added more dirt for the spring planting and/or adding in nutrients
Yes, I do. Just add a bit more fresh mix and appropriate fertilizers. many blessings everyone.
How long were your potatoes in the buckets
If I remember correctly about 3 months and I think I said time lines in the video as well.

Thanks for a simple and informative video❤
If you use a tarp when you dump the buckets comma you can just lift it up and pour it into the bucket
Save your grass clippings, leaves, food that you throw out and coffee grounds/egg shells to use in your compost.
I'm semi new to the state and planted my 1st garden ever. I need info. Are you in the state of Texas?
Make your garden bed with sawmill lumber and put them about two feet from the ground.

You make very informative videos. Thanks for that. But pls speak more slowly.
No need to pruning the leaves while they get more up? Seems inconvinient if we need to prune in a bucket xD
Oh crap I bought home depot bucket instead of food grade xD
Very beatiful woman:)
Are all the pot of gardening really food grade safe? Thank you
V nice
Nice job honey..
Our support to you. . Always ! 👍
Do they have to flower to know you have potatoes? Mine are all starting to die off now at the same time, but they never flowered.
Mine has never flowered and we’ve always had taters off each plant.
@Happy Humble Home I also noticed now that they're starting to turn, the soil is starting to sink in. Idk if that's normal or I'd I should add more? First time growing potatoes. Just seemed weird that the soil did that.
Hum, that is interesting. I don’t recall my soil ever doing that. Maybe it has & I just haven’t noticed 🤷🏻♀️
Hii
Love you my little potatoe.
she looks just like my special ed teacher, and behaves just like her ... she loves getting all dirty working in the garden . ps keep tthoughs minds and into the garden
Is that a ring? Seriously?
shes shown that shes found a winner , in a positive sense . probably a succesful hard worker too
I wonder what incentives people to be cruel, for no apparent reason? Must be misery.
March 9th is my b-day beautiful lady ❤
