Frankly I was a little worried that, going forward, most of their content was going to be IP based... which I am groing a little tired of. Thankfully that isn't the case and we are getting some new original content. I just hope more of that is in the future.

I enjoy the licensed characters, but I love Dice Throne's original characters even more! I'm excited to hear that we're getting 4 more! Maybe we can get that number pumped up to match the other seasons... 😏

It is wild some of the anger I've seen in community over a small, 2-3 month fulfillment delay. By Kickstarter standards that's almost nothing! Seriously, I've seen multi year delays before. So don't let the vocal minority get you down or feel obligated to have Nate apologize on camera for some minor campaign overlap. The DT team always puts out an amazing product that is worth the wait and I'm super hyped the campaigns keep on coming and we're getting even more heroes!
Agreed, especially since the delay came from the company making a big change to their plans to try to appease the interests of their community in the first place! I mean, in many ways that's the beauty of Kickstarter in action -- we got to have a say before the game was made, and we (collectively) chose a changed mini at the cost of a delay. They were upfront about that as well. That said... I think it's only a very, very minor few who are making a stink. Most people I've seen are very appreciative and I think there's further excitement about the fact that they've continued to make improvements elsewhere during the delay as well, making the game EXTRA polished. That's a win for everyone.

As a loyal backer, and as a consumer in general, I want to take a moment to recommend maybe extending what you think the delivery time frame is on this one. Give your teams a little more time to focus on doing the edits needed for IP aproval that seems to be setting you back, get X-men out the door and let both teams do what they do best. A lot of people seem to focus on tardiness and especially base it on the estimate in the KS. If you extend it then you might buy yourself a few less annoyed backers in case you get delayed on this one as well. I am no business expert just kind of reporting on what I have seen and what many say in the comments everywhere about these things. Your company has always been very vocal and active even post campaign to make sure we all know what’s going on and that super appreciative.

My thing is this; if you are a proven publisher and have delivered your products in the past timely (keeping in mind that that word means different things to different people), I am ok with this here. And by that I mean I am willing to support. My crowdfunding backing has dropped off quite a bit; party for financial reasons and a lot for reasons relative to irresponsible publishers. As much as I truly enjoy this hobby and community, bad actors have spoiled a lot for me, and I can’t and won’t tolerate it anymore. Dice Throne has delivered quality product and pretty timely, so I commend you guys for that. I wish you luck on the future of this and other projects, and ask only that you hold true to your word. As closely as you are able, of course. Take care of your backers and they will return the favor.

Oct could be swallowing my wallet as ROOT expansion plus DT Outcasts and I think The Anarchy(Garphil games standalone to Hadrians Wall) will have their Kickstarters too. I've got a cabinet full of great products. I have 0 concern for the quality of the xmen and know I will get it on hand as soon as possible. So I have 0 hesitation backing this next KS. Can you launch today? I want to know what's in it! Only hesitation is 4 characters sounds like it'll be combined with another 4 down the line for a battle chest which I'd prefer for uniformity.
Makes sense to me, the X-Men set is technically all finished and it's just waiting for the production side of things to go through, and in some ways I prefer the more original ideas rather than something based on another IP. (Though I still ended up getting the Marvel sets since it's still more Dice Throne at the end of the day. :P)

I hope they add more complexity to the new characters. I was upset to see some marvel characters have a low complex rating so it made them unappealing to play. In my opinion there should be more depth with new characters as the first 2 seasons is a great friendly introduction to the game.
What if the bosses from adventures become playable characters now? Or they would release the other characters in their "fallen" form. Anyway, what ever they are going to do, i am excited!🔥
Looks great! But why is it a kickstarter campaign again? I don't worry about the overlap with xmen, I'm sure your team will deliver, but I'm confused. Kickstarter is supposed to bring passion projects to life that lack the needed money. Dice Throne is now a big company which could probably just release the heroes. The last campaign was fully funded in a few hours. Am I missing something or is it just a marketing trick? It makes me very hesitant to back or recommend this and future projects, even though I love the game
I think you're confusing crowdfunding with what it was, and what it is now. Fact of the matter is that crowdfunding still presents a unique proposition for creators that is hard to pass up... that is, solid marketing, and upfront dollars. You can't underestimate the importance of that, even to organisation like these which have grown over time. I wouldn't judge them based on that though... seems a little close minded to me.

I got the first season one by one after playing dice throne barbarian vs moon elf. Your game is in my top list and it is one of my really loved 1vs1 games of all time. I didn't know who were the creators but it is a real honor seeing you! Keep up the good work.

Be careful launching two Kickstarters around the same time. They could cannibalize each other. There's only so much money in the marketplace in any given time Kickstarter at the same time the many other companies are releasing games to Kickstarter or other platforms as well as just straight-up releasing them to game stores.

I love ALL the sets but I know some people very passionately like the original characters the most, so it will be fun to see what's coming next!

Another dice throne adventures would be great with up to 5 players. Still like the original dice throne characters more than marvel/x men.
