Secondly your mixing similar concepts yet different. Example confirmation bias which is about how we prefer information that fits our beliefs and then your mixing it with how the subconscious might alter our perception. These are related but different ideas.

But the exact mechanic is that our subconscious will highlight and negate factors from our perspective to fit our narrative, leaving us to ignore or not even percieve acts that might bringnour core questions into account. An extreme example of this is why people stay in toxıc situations, but can also be present in small ways like preferences in cars or his beliefs in beauty standards.
Also, Gyaru is much more than just the hair. It is a style derrived by western clubbing women, with loud makeup. So think "your beauty can be removed with a wetwhipe" kinda thing.
I've noticed a lot of manga dub channels upload their own versions of the same story with changes. It's almost like they're in competition, I enjoy watching the different kinds.

Narushi and Ami had been plotting to go after Keiichi and Yui together, but Keiichi and Yui had other plans and they played one against the other. The events that bagsikdangal told about in his account of the aftermath happened largely as he said, but Ami was said to be a major flirt with boys and that also included her cheating on Narushi. Meanwhile, Ami focused on being her queen bee self, or some semblance of that, and ditto for Narushi being his typical alpha male self, and Ami tried to get into the school beauty pageant with the aim to win it once again, as she had done for a few years now. However, Yui outshone her once again by winning her first beauty pageant, and that incident led to Narushi and Ami teaming up to take down Keiichi and Yui, but they failed once again. Eventually, the social circles that Narushi and Ami once had began to fade and they began to go after one another, which escalated to a rather grim outcome after the downward spirals of their lives reached their apexes.

After the beating Narumiya took, the girls labelled Narumiya as the enemy of women. Ever since that day, Narumiya became afraid of girls. If a girl comes near Narumiya, he runs away. Narumiya's school life, will never be the same again
The fate of Ami: Afte losing the beauty contest, Ami plotted revenge against Yui. Ami first tried to spread false rumors about Yui. But in the end, Keiichi was able to prove these rumors as false. Thinking the best way for revenge, Ami now aims to steal Keiichi from Yui. After that, Ami plans to dump Keiichi after 2 days of dating. So Ami asked out Keiichi on the rooftop, and confessed her feelings to him. But Keiichi is no fool. Keiichi rejects Ami. Keiichi then elaborated the plan Ami had in mind, to hurt Yui. Yui then appears and hugs Keiichi. Yui then tells Ami to stay away from her boyfriend. Also, Yui wasn't alone when she followed Ami and Keiichi. 2 of Yui's friends, witnessed how Ami attempted to steal Keiichi from Yui. Yui's 2 friends, quickly spread how Ami attempted to steal Keiichi from Yui. As a result, Ami's credibility at school, plummeted. Ami was now known as the boyfriend stealer. Ami ended up being ostracized at school. Not even the guys, wants to become Ami's boyfriend. Ami lost confidence on herself. Ami never joined any school beauty contest, after her reputation was ruined

As for narumiya, well because of keiichi's good nature, he ask some teachers if he could have narumiya's contact info, when they ask him why, he along with yui told them about what he did to her, (unbeknownst to them someone overheard them) and the teacher gave them his contact information, so when they come over to his place (they it's okay if they skipped school if it's something important), they went over to his house while he was still at school, keiichi and yui told his parents about everything he did, to say they were Enraged was an understatement but they held back and wait for their son to come home, when they school day was over, he was meant his parents with a livid look on their face, they tried to keep their composure and ended yelling at him for purposely hurt yui and cheated on her and when she changed herself he had the audacity to ask her out, as a way to say sorry to yui, they gave her money that was meant to be for when narumiya goes to college, of course narumiya object but was soon punched in the face by his father, and they gave it to yui, they told him that he didn't deserve to go after what he did and instead are planning to make him get a job right after high-school to pay them back, the next day, the student who overheard keiichi and yui told everyone at school about what narumiya did and he was soon ostracized by all of their classmates all of his friends left him and all the girls would talk behind his back, because of his humiliation after being slapped by yui, people now knowing what he did to yui, and his whole popular reputation practically destroyed, narumiya spent the last remaining days of high-school, quiet and isolate himself from others, in his mind if he had knew this would happened to him then he never shouldn't have cheated on yui and treated her better, but oh well it's too late now.

In the end, Ami lost her friends, fearing she'd steal their boyfriends, while the nurse exposed Narushi as a woman beəter, resulting in him getting expelled.
With his record haunting him, Narushi could no longer continue education and had to work construction, giving him a lot of time to reflect and change. He then put in the work and was rewarded with a wonderful wife who was never afraid to call him out.
