Great video! I SERIOUSLY got lucky on my 90° handpiece! I scored a foredom brand 90° back when they made them, got it for $25 and worked perfectly after i cleaned it really good :)
Joe, I have followed and admire your excellent videos! You share a lot of good tips and tricks that I have learnt a lot from. Have ported about 50 chainsaws and still learning😅 I was in need of a 90degree tool, and ordered the 90 degree porting tool from Lucky Dog. After one port on a shainsaw cylinder both of the heads were not working any longer. This product is not a tool for this work and was completely waste of money!😢
I am going to try the contra style angled handpiece with an electric micromotor setup. They are cheap, plus I already have a controller and foot pedal. But, I think I'll still have to get burs from Lucky Dog as I don't think you can get such big diameter burs otherwise. Not sure if the electric handpiece will have enough torque. But I'm sure it will work well enough to goof around on a 2511t.
Most dental drill motors have a forward and reverse too and accept latch angle bits. I think they are typically low on power though. I bought a cheap one and it works great for chamfering with diamond burrs.
I've got a reversible 1/2hp MasterCarver. Its the best spec'd motor in my opinion. Having said that Joe's done more cylinders than I could ever imagine on his units. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a decent clone. Its whats between the ears that really makes this stuff work.
I love my contra angle from lucky dog. I can really get better control of the angles of the uppers. I use the c&c 182c for getting the transfers where I want but the contra angle for the shape I want.
@@dynojoemods2764 yea man it really is a game changer. My saws have gotten more power since I’ve started using it because I can really shape transfers how I want to
I’ve been looking into getting another tool To this point all I’ve ever used is a knockoff dremel kit with the extension I have yet to do any upper transfer work
It takes your builds to another level. The first time you do a set of uppers properly the difference you feel in power and performance will blow your mind.
So I found the cheaper of the 3 right angle grinders on line but they have a few different chuck sizes,3mm,2.35mm. was wondering what you use. Great video btw!
I want one of those small angle heads for 200+ you was talkin about. It’s exactly what I need to get in my transfers cause the straight are so hard to get in. I have snapped like 5 cables by getting the burr dug in to far to fast by accident. And I have ruined my fair share of linings too which just sucks. I tape my cylinders bore now to prevent it cause no matter how hard I try to not climb the wall I always seem to climb it in that one bottom left corner smh lol
Thanks Joe for sharing. You are the mad scientist of the porting community....America f#%k yeah!
Joe, your channel is one of my top three favorites. Love the continent.
Thank you
You rock! I really enjoyed seeing Dyno Joe at the bench performing cylinder surgery 🙌. Great video keep em comming! 👏
Definitely like the bar mat. Will be ordering one
I have the LuckyDog contra RA hand piece. Bought it about 6 months again and it has allowed me to take may saws to another level. I love that piece!
I took your advice and ordered the one from Shawn. It was literally at my door in just a few days I highly recommend ordering from him.
Shawn is a good guy, very talented too.
Very well put together Joe! 😊
Thank you! I hope it can help some people.

Hi. I have a stoxk dremel tool with stock flexible shaft. I can use the aliexpress cheap 90 degree atachment? Thanks, good video!
👍👏 Good info !
I wish I could find a new collet for the cheap handpiece… I’ve got one with bad threads!!! LMFFAO! 3mm helps…???
Dang it Joe, thought i found those under the radar. Now they are gonna be out of stock forever lol
As long as you got one, you will be good to go
If you're wanting the ultra cheap 90 hand piece, there's a seller on eBay in New Jersey.
They're selling them for @ $56 plus tax free shipping.
Where do you buy the long shank burs and mandrels?
Foredom 28, the drill chuck style alot, and 182 RA from CC on the upper.
Think we pretty much use same tools Joe.
Btw, I’m Tor R from the forums
Hey Tor!! Glad to see you!!
@@dynojoemods2764 I have subscribed to your channel mate, you have some really cool projects going on, I must say.
Keep up the good work buddy.
This was a great tutorial! Are you a machinist by trade?
Thank you
I have been around it my whole life, and dabbling in it the last 10-12 years.
Is the lucky dog handpiece compatible with the heavy duty square ended shaft?
