    Have absolutely no idea about horse tack (or horses for that matter), but really enjoy watching you make it. Always learning something new. Thanks for the video! :)

    I was looking for a tutorial for hand-tying a beaded macramé traditional Arabian halter, and somehow ended up watching this--and just couldn't stop watching. I also love leather work, and deeply admire the professional at work! Thank you for an informative and enjoyable video!

    Would you consider making a video on how to make a browband with an empty channel? (For beading)

    Hello! Could you please make a tutorial on how to connect a shamballa browband with the leather ends? X

    This is really cool. I've always wondered how those pretty browbands were made. Thank god for RUclips tutorials!
    What is that foam made out of? I always thought it was just a piece of really soft leather.

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  4 года назад +2

      I use a 6mm foam called plastazote, but you can also use neoprene.

    How would you make the channel for a channeled browband to fit beads or rhinestones? You have the best bridle making videos I’ve seen by far! Just awesome

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  4 года назад +1

      Hey Maddie, yes you would cut a channel for them. I have an old video with this method on a dog collar ruclips.net/video/ThF98j8fqzc/видео.html you would use the same method on a browband. Hope that helps.

    LOVE your videos! I was wondering if you use a leather sealer on any of your products, to keep the stain from bleeding or anything like that. Excited for more videos! :)

      Thank you 😁 I sometimes use acrylic resolene on the edges to help with that.

    Excellent video with detailed running commentary. I am not sure I could pull it off wearing one myself, but I am sure family members would love one. Thanks for the video.

      @@JHLeather I showed this video to one of my relatives the other day, to which she showed me a photo of her horse with basically the same brow band. Then asked me "can you make me one with tassels?" I am just waiting for that video then Jo. lmao.

    Hello,
    I absolutely love your videos! 😊
    Everything is well explained and they are super helpful. I' ve seen them all.
    I have just two questions: Where do you get the clincher links? I was looking on the internet and it's hatd to find them...
    I'm also wandering which size of clinchers do you use for 5/8 inch wide stripe of leather... I'm not sure if mentioned in the video.
    Thank you for all your amazing videos 😉 I admire your work.

      That's great to hear 😁 I buy my clinchers from Abbey England, (they do international shipping if you are outside the UK). For a 5/8" strap I use 1/4" clinchers. Thanks Jo

    Awesome video!! Thanks heaps. May I ask where you got your stitch markers from? I am in Australia and am struggling to find any that aren’t really wide apart

    That was really interesting to watch. Out of curiosity, how long did that take to complete, from start to finish?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  5 лет назад +2

      They usually take me about 2 1/2hrs I think, they don't get ordered very often so I'm not 100% sure.

    When cutting out the shape of the padding foam can you use scissors?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  5 лет назад +1

      You can do but a knife is better as you will have a smooth edge.

    What kind of thread are you using for your leather work?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  3 года назад +1

      I am using MEISI super fine linen thread for the majority of my leatherwork.

      Amazing! I want to give it a go. However I’m now in the US & don’t have the same products as I did in the UK. So I have a few ?s for you:
      1. What kind of glue do you? Brand name?
      2. When you tacked down the corners/part the crown goes through, what did you use to do that? Size, made of what material? Did you just put a tech through it, or is there something backing it?
      3. What thickness of foam did you use? Any particular foam brand/what’s it made from?
      4. What do you use for blackening? I’m only familiar with hydrphane darkening oil..but not stains.
      Thanks again for showing this!!

    what is the name of the tool used to create the channel in the browband?

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  5 лет назад +1

      I use dividers to mark out the centre for the clinchers.
