I have full sets of both the Zig and the Tombows (ABT & Twin tones) so this box would have been redundant, but I like the idea of step by step tutorials. I wish they could put the magazine up for sale, as a download, so that others could take part. You did a beautiful job on the artworks.
Very good review! I haven't had much luck with blending the Tombow markers. They always seem to peel the paper. I will have to try them with water. I think you are right, the secret is the paper and how quick you blend them.
I love your pictures. Foxy is so cute. I have the Tombow pens. They are great quality but I’m fairly rubbish with them. I really liked the very fine liner dotting technique, that works well. They make a clear blender pen. Pity they didn’t put one of those in to try. PS, have you done any block printing yet? Have I missed a video?
Hello Rebecca. Nice box and very good value, too for 35£. I'm not keen on alcohol markers but I like these Tombow ABT, but I wondered if the others felt tip pens were water soluble. (Probably not.) Also, it is great that they propose different tutorials in the booklet. Your drawings are really pretty. Have a great week. V.
Yes, they are Valerie. I totally forgot to mention that in the video. I used them for a bit of cross hatching on the clown fish tutorial then went over it with the tombow and it dissolved easily.
Beautiful art work. I thought it was going to be watercolour this month because of the design on the box and with it being a water based scene. I like the Tombow markers as I get a lot from Sketch box but I prefer them in the alcohol version. The colours of the twintone pens are lovely but they ruined my art yesterday. Was awful to colour with but maybe it was the paper type I'd used. It was a very small area but looked worse than the cheapest kids felt pens. Haven't tried the paper from the box yet. Markers aren't really my thing. Wish all of the subscription boxes did an option to choose marker free boxes.
This does have much to do with the video but when you bought the artful box and chose the box is that the box you get every month or does it cycle through all the choices that you could have chosen from
Hi, when I signed up for the subscription, I didn't get any choices. I just got the new box every month. I believe they changed it now though and I think for your first box, you can choose from different boxes. Not certain on that though.
Awesome ,very nice friend,😃👍
Your illustrations came out just stunning! I really think you have found a winning combo with those Tombows on that Bristol paper.
Thank you so much! 😀
Love the fox

The magazine looks very nice and I wish they would sell it separately too.
I totally agree!
I agree, too many pens and markers = lack of imagination
Excellent video! Thank you.

Your picture is so beautiful Rebecca.

No Sue, I STILL haven't gotten around to it. I'll have to do it soon. Just keep forgetting.

Me too! I'm guessing that pens are much cheaper. There are soooo many art supplies out there but we get pens a lot of the time.
