Osaka sensei is JKA's treasure. Why the JKA Hombu organization kicked him out (in their words, retired him) is beyond comprehension. They kicked out Tanaka sensei as well.
How those supposed masters harmed the karate making up blocks and other misleading movements. This is because of they hardly did have knowledge about kata. Besides I've always thought either they were very silly or great swindlers.
The trouble with karate is some of the moves are ridiculous. The first two moves of heian yondan being one of many examples. Competition has not helped. I'm a big fan of karate, I think it is the best martial art. It takes decades to understand it and unfortunately there are many teachers out there that blindly follow what their told and accept nonsense in the name of tradition. Which you could say about pretty much every organisation going
