- Is the 2024 MG Hector CVT automatic good enough for long-distance adventure drives? We took this SUV on an 1100km round trip from Delhi to Lahaul valley in Himachal Pradesh. While we like the CVT for urban usage, can the same gearbox be good for higher elevations, uphill climbs, and off-the-road adventures? Watch the 2nd video from our #TheCoolEscape series for more details.

Is MG planning to reintroduce hector hybrid?

Which one to choose XUV 700, Hector Plus, Alcazar automatics...
following
Thank you so much for such beautiful review. I have driven the hector petrol automatic dct once the mileage was very bad. So drop the plan to buy. Now the face lift looks beautiful so planning to buy it. Please suggest whether cvt gives better mileage and should i buy it.
Petrol cvt gives 8kmpl in city, 11kmpl on highway, 7-8kmpl on hills depending on the elevation, petrol cvt can give 9kmpl in city only if you drive it in manual mode(cvt can become manual if you know, but still clutch less).
On the other hand petrol manual easily gives 10-11kmpl in city if you’re not revving much(rpm below 1800 or never exceeding rpm above 2000) and on highway you can get up to 16-17 easily, on hills it’s same as city mileage but only difference is AC, on hills you need to turn off the AC to climb as well as getting that mileage. Have fun, car is amazing to drive.
One of the best car in its segment. Right comfort, right luxury and low maintenance makes it a king. Foremost MG is now Indian & owned by JSW
Why have they stoppped sharing ccessories for pre facelift models now it is absolutely irritating move from them. With each facelift accessories for older versions are discontiniued
I was driving vento 1.2 tsi dsg.. and I loved it esp the power... it never felt under power infact a lot of it...even on full load and on hills... do u suggest this car for a person like me... my next 2 options are slavia 1.5 dsg and mg astor 1.3 turbo AT... plz suggest
Sir why MG dont have diesel Automatic in india- any updates
Very strange to us as well - the same diesel (in different states of tune) comes with AT in other SUVs like the Harrier / Safari etc. Don't know what's keeping MG from launching the auto with the diesel engine
Thanks for amazing review!! I can say Hector performs very well in hills and mountains. Even the road presence is just amazing.
Hector always seems bolder and more dominant than other cars in the segment
and I've driven both the cars Harrier and Hector, where Hector feels more promisable than Harrier.
India is under 1:32 cold wave😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Haha yes slip of tongue : hence we put the text there :)
Could you share an insight on the mileage you achieved during this trip ?
8-9 kmpl
Hi, with shoots, stop-overs on the way and spirited driving (catching up with the convoy), we got about 11 kmpl from Delhi to Manali (6000 feet) to Sissu (11,000 feet) : may seem less but given the weight and size of the Hector, it is pretty much same as the XUV700 petrol / Scorpio petrol
@@91Wheels Yes, I was seriously thinking of the MG Hector as my top pick for the impending upgrade. My focus was, however, diverted by conflicting public opinions regarding the mileage, touch screen slowness/lag, auto indicators, and power problems during the takeover. Your honest feedback on these issues will be really appreciated., thanks !
Can you please share milage figures, it will help us

Good car I love and like it mg hector
Very informative video
What mileage can we expect in 1.5 CVT Turbo Petrol ?
Petrol cvt gives 8kmpl in city, 11kmpl on highway, 7-8kmpl on hills depending on the elevation, petrol cvt can give 9kmpl in city only if you drive it in manual mode(cvt can become manual if you know, but still clutch less).

Excellent product by MG
Running big vehicle like hector without hybrid is disaster for mileage
Xuv, scorpio n ke baare me क्या khyal h
5-7 avg h sabki
Sir mujhe petrol or diesel me confusion hai
Kon si lu
Please suggest
Baki xuv 700 or mg hector me se kon si lu
But mujhe mg jyada achho lgti
According to my research over euro7 norms and BS7 norms, and daily situations on diesel issues to climate, government is really getting more and more strict. If you planning to drive the car more than 5-6 years if will not suggest diesel as you will never get the proper resale value, due to diesel strict rules coming in future. If your daily drive is more that 50kms than you should buy diesel.
Now between hector and xuv700, hector is more of luxury in and out, looks much more bolder than xuv700, xuv700 looks somewhere b/w MPV and SUV. If you want raw power definitely go for xuv700(have better torque), also if you want diesel automatic there is no option in mg. MG have slightly better mileage in petrol than xuv700 petrol. Diesel is almost same in mileage. MG have better after sales service compare to Mahindra and Tata both.
Pls someone tell me. Mg hector petrol cvt or scorpio n at petrol. Which will have better mileage ?
May be the Scorpio N AT, even if by a small margin
Mg hector cvt have slightly better mileage.
Reason: torque difference, hector 250nm & scorpio N 380nm. And the main important reason is, hector is FWD and Scorpio N is RWD, so from engine which is in front and Race or power is going back in rear wheels to drive the car, means loss of power in between, simply resulting in less economy. Hence hector cvt can give slightly more mileage. ✌️
Kindly tell th average
7 or 8 is inuf
