And this is why people should stop listening to streamers who claim classes are bad (not specifically targeting you) My deadeye is 1490 currently and has been my main since launch. All content is easily clearable. By far the most rewarding and fun class I've tried (my opinion). If you like this class, keep playing it....he's underrated as hell.

Yes people say G2 is the easiest but for Deadeye it's actually the hardest. Doing back attacks, especially close to her is absolute cancer. G3 is the best for sure.
I started the game as a Berserker and wanted to quit the entire time I was playing. I made Dead Eye as a second character and loved it so much I ended up maining it with 5 other Deadeye alts. I play both Pistoleer and Enhanced Weapon but find Pistoleer much smoother to play but now with relic gear sets released it looks like it’ll smooth out EW nicely
@@Aegisfromashes I found EW Deadeye's weapon switching to be very hard when I first started playing him. I played around with the key bindings for a while until I settled on having left weapon switch mapped to the left shift key and right weapon switch mapped to the side button on my mouse. It feels much more natural and now after the muscle memory has sunk in I can freely switch to any weapon I want without thinking about it. Try it out, it might work for you too.
Does the recommended crit amount for 5x3+1 still apply to current ew deadeye? I've tested in trixion and it seems to be less dmg than having a full spec swift build with crit bracelet only

But thanks to this video, I had the opportunity to see Enhanced Weapon as well and it looks very good as well. But still, I'll start and play with Pistoleer for a long time I think.
As someone who mained deadeye up until Argos p3 and now have him as a secondary main (so I can learn mechanics on my much safer main sorc first and not floor pov), Vykas normal was prob the most fun I've had with him in a very long time. Between the vault, dex shot and his pistol counter you can dodge just about everything easily and you have these nice little damage windows to just pump shotgun skills since the animations aren't very long. I actually find him way more comfortable than my now lopang gulag gunslinger xD
Well the pistoleer Q&A is easily explained: he is a back attacker... AT02, MS and Plasma are not back attacks and MS in particular is right up there with quickshot for damage if you use "bombardment support" tripod, it's a bit trickier to land however because of a longer animation lock. I know there is a gearscore difference but I've seen HandgunnerTV get 100m+ quickshots while busing argos here on YT (though I'm not sure if there were dark nades involved for the views but he was in duo with a GL so there could be some partybuffs at play there). I'm still pistoleer on my 1427 deadeye alt but I'm prepping for EW swap soon(tm) because once I lose the argos setbonus I will have a hard time maintaining enough critchance to really make pistols shine. In essence he is correct though, EW quickshots will be similar but due to armor&engraving build a back shot is required, pistoleer gets decent output from the sides as well but obviously lower ceiling.
I've been playing deadeye since na started. Its been painful. But, this was very helpful. Move speed seems so important. I finally got a good relic stone and removed my negative -move speed stone. We will see where I stand in the spring after 1 year Thank you
DE has a theoritical better dps but it's difficult to pull off on a target that is moving a lot, you gotta reposition yourself a lot to get in the back and the melee range is risky with such low armor. Gunslinger is safer, more consistent and doesn't require melee range or back positioning. Both classes are good and it's all about preference.
Bursting Flare deals more damage than Clay Bombardment, but the issue is to hit all three hits, because then Clay Bombardment wins. I personally use Bursting Flare as you have to learn Boss patterns either way and it just is another way to make you memorize patterns when it fails/succeeds.
Confused how is it possible that the quick shot does the same amount of damage when playing EW. If Pistoleer engraving gives 70% skill damage to pistol skills?
i played both engravings for a descent amount of time, first is that ew you don't need to go precise dagger you can just add an other dmg engraving. second which is speculation, is that the 70% increase only affects base dmg (final dmg= crit dmg+70% base dmg) or something like that
@@defnotbacchus442 yep ambush master which is the highest dmg engraving, on top of that when u finish entropy relic set(pistoleer uses different one), u get higher dmg boost than any other set
What he means was precise dagger 3 and EW 1, which is 40% critrate vs EW 3 alone that is 30%. Its just a budget option tho. You will always deal more dmg with adrenaline
Yea cause there is nothing else to run usually. Even tho the class engraving is most efficient at lvl 1. At ancient gear you get +6. So you waste one node. So some people just go 6 6 and 3 for 15 so they dont waste any nodes
Swapping weapons with z and X seemed horrible to me so ive been just using pistoleer and having lots of fun. This looks great if I can find a smooth way to swap weapons.
if you have keys on your mouse you can switch with that... its what Ive been doing - way easier overall and you dont need to fly over your keyboard for all the skills with your other hand
@@k3ramic4ls such a good tip. Beem using two adjacent buttons on the side of my mouse for switching weapons and it just feels so right. It also works fine for identity skills on other classes.
really interested in how to get 80% crit rate... earths entropy without the lvl 2 gives 17%... thats what we will have until kuku - then we get 20% from EW, 10% from synergy, 10% from backattacks and with LWC set we can get an additional 7% ... which leaves us at 64... now you would have to run lvl 3 adrenaline for another 15% to reach 79% solo... but with 5x3 which is the only possible setup without 9/7 stone the most optimized way imo is lvl 2 adrenaline and lvl 1 EW... this only gives 74% and it feels like many attacks dont crit .... guess the only way I see it is to drop a ring from spec to crit... but that is almost a 10% drop in bonus damage and I dont see how that is worth it..
this is where having 500 crit is nice, but if you get this you willl exceed 100% crit, so it's up to you. you get this from crit/spec neck instead of swift/spec neck
Cheap solution at long time; buy legendary engraves for EW lv3 and you could get 5x3 with a 7/7 stone easyly with extra crit chance I build very cheap my DH with 5x3 EW, Precise Dagger, Ambush Master, KBW, Grudge and cards + 7% and 1 crit ring and the crit rate feel perfect... In the future i want swap PD for Adrenaline but for now is sooo expensive
I already have my 4x3+2+1 with KBW, CD, Grudge, Ambush and lvl 2 Adrenaline with lvl 1 EW - I am at 72% crit with 2 pc argos, 2 pc Entropy and 2 pc demon beast... will def drop demon beast for entropy 4 to hit 89% crit... but thats only gonna last 2 weeks until I have my full entropy set with 74% crit..
what a lad , ye the numbers crazy if you can pull it off , its just a shame the spec is just meant for hitting scarecrows and overgear stomping old content

Of course. But that is capped by the ceiling. And deadeye has one of the highest ceilings in the game. A really good deadeye player should generally get mvp unless someone is outgeared
If you think deadeye is a scarecrow class, there's probably something wrong in your gameplay. It feels so smooth in raids and yeah, probably one of the highest dps ceiling
@@airelin6213 there is no thinking , its just fact for any backattack class, ofc conditional damage dealers have the highest potential but gl reaching that in any meaningful content, and before you say , yes i play deadeye , i was 25% dmg on last vykas but im also the same damage on my other classes, the player matters a lot more than what the class gatekeepers say
@@cocuakke This is just a deadeye thing as stated in the video with example. level 1 he did 4.3 mil and then level 10 with no tripods he did 4.3 mil. he didn't say for all classes ATK even reiterates it a few minutes later "deadeye is unique that only tripods affect damage"
Deadeye is that class that consists of 1 guy in the top #1 spot that is playing Enhanced Weapon, followed by 19 Pistoleers. And the bottom 20 consists of 19 Enhanced Weapon and 1 Pistoleer that's there because he's just bad at the game in general. Stick with Pistoleer kids, at least you'll contribute to something other than reducing the available number of ressurections in a group. Everybody loves to pretend that theoretical damage and on paper damage does not concern them because they can squeeze 100% of a class' potential, until you take a hard look at your performance and realise that maybe Enhance Weapon is not for you.

I tried Deadeye and Gunslinger but I don't really enjoy their playstyle. I love watching people play them tho, their movement is so satisfying
doing vykas on g1 and g3 feels great. there's a lot of back attack openings and you can mvp easily over igniter sorcs etc.

With the amount of skills you can fit into a rotation I reckon CDR isn't as important for Deadeye as other classes.

I dropped close range for full range tripod. Easier to play. Doesn’t need to be up in the boss’s arse.

His space bar has a 4 second cd... I feel like this guy ran a high swiftness build during the guardian raid showcase.
Mostly ancient accessories and tripods on dexterous shot, he runs 800 swift which is like a +3 spirit absorb

give it a shot. its definitely a muscle memory thing and took me like a month to get used to. and if you pvp you HAVE to do it anyway

as far as I can tell skillpoints don't affect the rifle skills damage so you don't need to invest points in them.

Skills do deal more damage with level regardless of tripods. You can go to trixon and test it yourself.

Atk isn't just repeating what the dude said, and he isn't just saying what's in the translations
I would think it's for audio only viewers. Couldn't keep looking at the screen while walking so ATK's part helped a lot.
I just listen to videos like this. They are more like podcasts for me.
