Back when I was watching Breaking Bad, I didn't realize how much the show needed a character like Saul Goodman until this episode. Without him, Walt and Jesse wouldn't have gone very far as criminals.

MysticSaxophone Better Call Saúl is singleHandedly the most successful spinoff of anything ever. Period. It’s soooooo good. I mean, the acting and the directing is impecable. Vince hasn’t lost a single step. I can’t wait to see them react to it. And I can’t wait for season 5 of Better Call Saul!

One of my favourite moments in the series is Walt playing dumb and buying time while obstructing Hank's car. Really see Cranston's comedic side, glad Rana appreciated it too.

16:55 - Saul wears purple and Marie wear purple because they are both good people that secretly break the law. Saul launders money, Marie shoplifts. Their crimes don't physically harm anyone, and they are otherwise perfectly lovely, but they are still criminals.
Marie is an absolutely insufferable character and Saul is an unempathetic, inhuman slimeball starting back in BCS Season 5.
@@greasey8695 yep Saul is that exactly, Jimmy Mcgil however, in BB bits of the Jimmy persona breaks out when he actually is scared for Walt and Jesse or other people. Saul is his persona he puts up just saw that he is the wolf in this world, a wolf that refuses to b taken out by the other wolf's.

That's what makes his character so good. Vince Gilligan is a genius providing character depth
The writers and Odenkirk created an amazing character who oozes charisma and dominates his first ep from start to finish. SO MUCH HAPPENS with him in this handful of scenes, it's no wonder he goes on to be a major player, and gets his own excellent spinoff too.
I love how *Ignacio* and *Lalo* were mentioned from Better Call Saul.
It's such a great call-forward.
I woke up at 5 in the morning today to attempt to finish my final paper for my senior seminar in college, as well as take my Spanish final. I came home just completely mentally and emotionally broken... and was immediately cheered up as soon as I saw this upload. Holy hell you guys are quickly becoming my go to RUclips channel that salvages more of my shitty days then anyone else. Awesome upload as always!

I really like the way this show handles the Jesse and Jane relationship. First time through you kind of overlook it bc of all the meth dealing action, but they put a lot of good dialogue, realism, and attention to detail into it. But then again, how could you expect anything less from Breaking Bad.

Somehow, I missed this episode when I first watched the series through, and never saw Saul’s introduction. I remember being a little confused when he shows up after this, and I think I just kinda figured that either Walt or Jessie had known him before or something. Aside from it being Saul’s introduction, this episode is pretty self-contained, so I never noticed that I had missed an episode. Then after the series was over, I eventually went back and watched the whole series on Netflix. When I got to this episode, I was pleasantly surprised to find an episode of Breaking Bad I had never seen before. Mind was blown. Sometimes past losses become future gains. Always look on the bright side of life. Dare to dream. Excelsior!

Better Call Saul is only 4 seasons in and it’s already a top 10 tv drama ever in my opinion. The 10 best being The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Better Call Saul, Oz, and Boardwalk Empire in my opinion.
Great list. Only ones missing are Dexter and Six feet under.

Joe Lazarus I said Six Feet Under. Dexter is not near a top 10 show of all time. It’s one of the 20-25 best dramas ever written though. Some pretty cringeworthy and melodramatic moments in that show, especially later on

Better Call Saul has been renewed for a 5th season and I wouldn't be surprised to see it get even a 6th (and possibly final one) season, so they definitely make it to the end of 2020, even without any breaks.
I feel you but honestly, if anything, this pleases them. They're guaranteed to not run out of material for their channel anytime soon.

4:58 I definitely remember my first meal after being wired shut for 3 months. They said to start with softer easy foods. I had to have a steak. Every chew and bite, I could feel the pain and stress fracturing. I took it as slow chewing as I could. Never has a seared piece of beef tasted so heavenly.
The whole “it wasn’t me it was ignacio” a throw away line turned into one of the best characters in BCS. I just have one question . Did the writers plan a spin off of Saul all the way back in season 2??

Aww Rana I feel you! I had jaw surgery when I was a teenager and my mouth was wired shut for over a month. It sucks so bad, but I will never forget that first meal I had when it was done. It's gonna be the best meal you ever had so hang in there!!

Rana, I have a food recommendation for you. It's weird, but the fruit purees jars by Gerber are surprisingly good. I had a few teeth pulled a few years ago these weren't bad. Just avoid the puree with grains mixed in, the texture is weird.
Ranas reaction the scene where the fake Heisenberg gets arrested was adorable. And Nahid's face when one of them accurately predicts something or they hit the nail on the head during the discussion is also super adorable lol. Also I like that u guys are going in depth about what the colors mean and symbolize bc it's such an important part of the show and it was always crafted so amazingly.

So you finally got to meet Saul Goodman. Saul is one of my favorite characters on the show. He's such a sleazy smartass and it's through him that the show steps up to a whole new level.

As for the untitled movie is taking place to 2010 to possibly present day.
