Ethically speaking here, they should have stepped out and asked if they could pull the doctor out of the room for a quick question. Once outside they were out of the room they should have said, “We know him I apologize I can’t ethically stay.”( continue watching). Then they should have dropped it and never spoken of it again. Or what is even worse is depending on the practice ( office and whether it’s private or not) Medical students may get a chart and see the patient NAME and details. This is when they should ethically bow out. PRIOR to entering the room. If the practice blurred the patient name then they should have bowed out the first way I mentioned. I’m so sorry for that guy! They didn’t consider dignity there! Last tip if it comes to etiquette in a scenario like this, It’s awkward I’ve done this but you can look around at the medical students change your mind midway through and say… no thanks let’s get them out now. Then they must leave! They’ll look shocked but the physician will tell them to get lost!!!!

The medical students won’t have batted an eyelid. If anything they would be excited at the prospect of hands on experience and felt better knowing if it went wrong ‘It’s only our Jord’ 😂😂

And to Jordan, lots of us aren’t off work during Christmas and New Year. Putting your Christmas declarations down on NYD? What? NYD is when we have a large family dinner and celebrate, traditionally ham. Why would you put them down with a hangover, and most people aren’t off work for weeks unlike some BBC staff on a jolly.

Moreover jokes like this about older women or “someone’s granny” which are quite common here are not reflective of the woke, modern and 21 century ideas that this podcast advertises. Though most of the jokes and comic material on this podcast is perfect and are the reason why people return again and again, the aforementioned joke, and others like that do put genuine, non-toxic, listeners off.
