He wasn‘t a creep to begin with. He was legitimately trying to help her improve. That‘s not called being „creepy“, that‘s called beibg a samaritan. There is this concept called being a decent human being. However, the second he started hiding and watching her from a tree os when it became creepy. It‘s one thing to stop and give pointers, it‘s another to stalk them.
This is an adaptation of the manga "The Fable", didn't know they had a live action but the story is really good! The movie only covers part of the story so if you're interested in more you can read it, and it's still ongoing too with over 200 chapters so there's plenty to read if you're bored! (Although the chapters will fly by because of how fun it is to read)
Actually, they used a lot of the first half of the manga. It's missing the Yakuza part that is integral to the story, but other than that, only the work relations, witch only matter for the later arc, all is there. I think it's as good as a movie could do with the material
