    Hi Rick. I didn't know there were more Cock Robin named flys. I'm familiar with Jim Pray's Cock Robin steelhead pattern from his optic series. I love the pattern, the bird, and the name. The birds remind me of pheasants. I love those UK wets too. George Barron from the UK and Steven Bird from the US, especially, ties some awesome flys. Great job on tying that variant Rick, thanks for more inspiration. How's the wild fires doing up your way? Unbelievable the smoke comes way down to the northeast US. Hope all is well with you.

    This pattern was listed as a must have for trout in the UK. Another one was the Red Arsed Green Peter! Love that name!

      Ive done very well in the stillwaters of western Canada with this pattern, It's deadly at times
