Everyone needs to read this book, not only because Kate is so amazing, and full of strength and love, but because of the Doctors that try so hard with Derek. The book brings over to us just how much the Doctors and scientists were working in the dark, against something they didnt know or understand, but they all, everyone of them, never gave up, always trying, discovering, working. All the brilliant nursing and medical staff too. Remember when you might moan about having to be careful, just what this disease can do. Great book Kate :)

She has also openly said that she needs to make most of work incase she has to care for him full time...

I’m guessing that Kate has been the soul breadwinner since Derek became ill and bills don’t care that the family income has potentially halved. She has had to adapt the house and this has to be paid for so if selling a book helps this then so be it. Kate may be in the public eye but she is a wife and mum first and foremost and has to do what she has to do to keep the family together. My son was in hospital for over a year only 5% chance of survival he made it and is really good now wishing you all the luck
