During the Kliff Era, Kyler was asked to carry the team on his back by running, scrambling, and passing. It was not sustainable. Now, the running game led by James Connor took much burden off Kyler's shoulder. He is now a great play action QB. The rise of McBride (TE) also helped. The Cardinals defense bends often but not break. If the Cards win against Seattle and Minnesota (both on the road), I would be really comfortable saying that "The Cardinals have arrived."
I mean like he said there isn’t a whole lot of star power on the defense. They are just good at playing as a unit. Which is almost scarier. I’m reminded of the 2014 Germany World Cup team. Argentina was expected to run away with it because they had Messi but almost no one else.
I'm a lifelong 49ers fan and I love Kyler Murray. I'm glad Arizona didn't give up on him. I think he's that good. Just like Russell Wilson. I still think he's a great quarterback. I believe that if he was in a system like he had in Seattle he would thrive.
That's what I've been thinking. Sounds bad but the injury might have made him rethink about life in general. You not indestructible! Take the game more seriously and work harder. He's definitely a different person then before.
@chadwickerman lame af take hahaha your an idiot if you think he hasnt allways been a student of the game.. that video game rhetoric is old and never held any cred
The natural growth and progression of any young person beginning with you. Saw him at age 14 standing in the pocket throwing darts all over the field. Always mature for his age....he been a public figure for a long time. No one ever talks about the maturity of coming out h.s. as highly touted as he was then go on to only really play (1) of college football. It took a lot of maturity to sit on the bench (1) yr due transfer rules then sit (2) yrs behind an inferior qb at Oklahoma without being given the opportunity to openly compete for the job with NO complaining in the media, none. That is pretty mature. Instead, he continued to grind in football program while turning himself into the #9 pick in MLB draft. Always a pretty mature kid. Never in any trouble with the law or mankind. Up to this point, the mission was to be great, not mature or a world leader. For one lifetime, athletic greatness has been achieved, against major odds and he made it look easy. Now give Murray the room to grow and mature as you required yourself and as your own son and daughter will require. Where were you at 21-26 yrs old? You are still trying to climb the ladder and work out your own maturity and leadership deficiencies.
I said at the beginning of the season that we would hit 10/11 wins never did i think it would be more than that .. we got a legit chace of getting 11plus wins.... what about 13-4 😮 it's possible... i mean the Pros in gambling said we only getting 6 wins. Now look at us now LETS WIN OUT BIRDGANG 13-4 baby
I’m a Cardinals fan and I completely understand why many are still sleeping on the team. They probably should be. The new FO came in and initiated almost a complete rebuild, which is really still in progress, especially the defensive line, which is a patchwork unit with a lot of castoffs from other teams and practice squad type guys balling out. They’re just being well coached and the results are currently ahead of schedule with a lot of the younger players starting to come into their own.
Yeah agreed. That defense, although they’ve been playing well, is rough. The d-line is pretty bad overall, and the DB room is extremely young outside of the safeties. The offense has been inconsistent too, but hopefully they can continue playing like they have been the past month because they’re so much fun to watch when they’re clicking
In previous years, it seemed that if Kyler was not active in the run game, the Cardinals were struggling. Its refreshing to see him put up decent numbers, not turning the ball over, strictly as a passer and only strategically and carefully using his legs at the perfect time. Cards fan got a taste of what this team could do at the end of last year when i think there was only five games with Kyler and Conner on the field at the same time.
@@KUTFO588 completely. The Oline has been superb, with some key in injuries, in giving kyler time and are easily top 5 in run blocking. The entire team looks so well coached.
AZ no matter what sport, remains in the shadows. Even when we have legends like Kevin Durant, our teams don't get the coverage we deserve in general. I think Kyler and the recognition he deserves fall under that issue imo. Been here nearly 30 years.
I think it's mostly just track record, the last time the Cardinals won a championship was 1947. They're the oldest team in the week having been established in the 19th century. They list them as 1920, but they've actually been around longer. And yet barely win anything. Hopefully that changes with the GM and coach. So far they've impressed me.
Kyler is a Dark Horse MVP Candidate I don’t see him winning but let’s say somehow Lamar has another slip up game or Josh Allen has a bad game could Kyler slide In to this conversation absolutely
@@JWLSports they would most likely see the Rams in that first playoff game correct? That would be a tough one if the Rams are healthy at that point. I can’t see them beating. Can’t see them beating Minny or the Lions or even Philly
I like how I heard an analyst describe it. They aren’t just the Kyler Murry show this year. They are a complete team the defense is a bunch of no name youngsters hungry to make a name. The O-line has kinda sneakily become one of the best in the league plus they have 3 work horse running backs that makes you play more base and they just have too much talent on the outside to expect to win one on one every play. You need that bigger set to stand up against this mauling o-line and a hard Norse running back but that means they don’t have the speed and skill on the outside to contend with these wide receivers and tight ends.
The Cardinals franchise has lost more games than any other franchise. This was due to cheap owners happy to live off shared revenues. Now Bidwell finally has a team. Hopefully, he will not sell off his premium players.
Kyler Murray will never win the big games...Also...the cards defense against Geno Smith was pathetic ..garbage football with basic dump offs because neither Geno or Kyler are quality QB's---
But you don’t get it, he’s short. Yeah, he averages 68% completions for his career but he’s short. He uses his legs to make plays when plays break down but he’s short. He took a hit from 2005 and threw a touchdown two plays later but he’s short.

I think his ACL injury was a blessing in disguise he came back more mature
Sure glad he came back with his speed… some guys don’t

He played so many video games when he was injured he got sick of it and started studying football footage.

Here's a hot betting tip straight from the Niners fan base, Don't bet against the Seahawks!

Why is this guy talking , he’s picked every game against Arizona

yes. Give credit to the oline also, he has a little time in the pocket to go through his progressions, which he is also doing quicker this year.

Kyler has matured so much under Jonathon ❤
Give Kyler the tools to be great and he will show you. Thanks to our OC, DC, HC and monti!

@ wow. Bold take. I like it.
Because the Cardinals are a small market team. There is a growing fan base but its growing slowly.
Small market? 5th largest city in US?

Stop running your trap kyler Murray score 6 points again the Seahawks and 13 points nx week against the vikings. Please stop
Lol !

Yeah, he averages 68% completions for his career but he’s short.

He took a hit from 2005 and threw a touchdown two plays later but he’s short.

This is another example of when you are winning those narratives that Kyler is lazy and he plays video games all day long, doesn’t get talked about
Winning is truly the cure for everything. And losing is the catalyst for chaos!
@ yea for sure. Like if Dallas was leading the division and crushing it like the Eagles, is anyone talking about Micah’s podcast. Probably not.
Definitely not! They’d be celebrating his voice and charisma.
@ yea exactly. Winning solves everything.
