Love Paul Revere and The Raiders doing "Kicks' with a cannon, The original "Old Glory" and "Union Jack" flags in the background with girl soldiers on horses!! Classic!!
This is fantastic, a lost treasure. This video definitely needs to be remastered so its stays great for a long long time. Thanks to whomever posted this great video.
Thank you. I agree wholeheartedly. These, and the Shindigs and the others need to be restored. I did what I could, but I’m not a professional. That was such a rich and unique period and deserves to be seen and remembered.
So glad you liked it! They're just great. And I'll have another Bill song for you on Tuesday, one you've never heard before that's a guaranteed meltdown. Total and complete meltdown!
@@GillianWard-e1g Read Bill’s book, and the section of Darlene Love’s book which talks about him. His book is controversial, though, because some things he wrote about Bobby are considered overly critical.
There may have been a little nervousness, too. Singing is one thing, but having to host a whole show, and do funny bits, would freak me out completely. But he’s such a pro!
@@marymichael1211 I agree. Same for b&w movies. The cinematographers were very artistic with b&w. I love Film Noir! It would be a crime to colorize those films, or Citizen Kane, or The Third Man.
@@tedtimothy9074 Yes, sorry, I didn’t mean to be flippant; please accept my apologies. Drugs destroy lives. Kicks is a great song, written by two of the best songwriters- Mann and Weil- and sung by a talented group. But the message is the most important thing about it. It’s still relevant today.
Bob Lind, as of Feb. 2024 - still performing.
That’s great! A talented man. Thanks for the info!
I just watch this on the TV and it dawned on me they acted like the Smothers Brothers. Omg the boys were great❤
That’s funny! I can see that!

I had forgotten how much fun they were. Years later, Bill’s son Darrin sang and played drums in the group!

Finally the real soundtrack of th elove performance.
Glad you liked it!
Bobby was so out of breath after they sang Let The Good Times Roll. He managed to catch his breath quickly.😮

Another great one... there were such great shows in those days, even without colour TV 😁
We were very lucky! Thanks!
I love black and white TV, which actually includes many shades, and I don't like colorized programs which were produced in black and white. 🙂

Another gem..thank you
You’re so kind! My pleasure!
Wow how good was that show 🌹🥰
We were certainly blessed by all the talent we had back then! Thanks!
This is so great. A look at the entertainment factor that these two guys had in addition to their fabulous sons.

Looks innocent but tthe 60's were Nothing innocent..... extremely dark
You’re right, of course. There were many things to fight against back then.
No hope with dope
LOL- Saved By The Bell! Thanks for stopping by.
The song, "Kicks" is serious. It is meant to say Don't do drugs, They are a road to nowhere
