scallion is just another name for green onions, they are interchangeable to refer to 葱 in Chinese culinary use. leek 韭葱 is another thing, which u can easily tell from scallion/green onions, leek's green leafy part are not tubular like those in green onions 😀

在美国 green onion 比较普遍，但spring onion也能猜出大概是 green onion. Scallion 感觉是这一类的总称。
