  • @Omega-ct6kd

USE a dremel it’s cleaner and saves A LOT of time. Less than 5 minutes for ALL the front lights. A drill bit can and will grab the plastic and the result you will not like. You can dress it up with a 1/4in drum sander for the Dremel. You can get all the tools at Harbor freight and the Dremel at Home Depot or Lowes. Awesome Lights when done... I used a diamond cover 1/8in . bit tool that goes to a point to cut the hole.

@18:38 bro get a caliper and measure the diameter of the headlight. Then get a drill that size. No guess work. Btw i installed my in 30 mins. I was cringing for your install. Because Lol working on the body is so stressful. But its worth it for visibility and orientation. I placed high intensity red led on the right side of my car and green led on the left side. That way when the car is far away i can see the orientation of the car at all times. If the red led was on the right side that means the car is facing away from me. If the red led is on the left side that means the car is coming towards me which means right is left and left is right. Cheers! Oh yeah you should sand down the edges of your new holes. Because if you dont round off the edges it becomes a source of cracks that grows. I even go as far as using my torch to melt the edges. Ive been bashing with led lights for a few years now.
Lastly a dab of marine grease inside your led housing and where ever theres a sealed electrical connection goes far for water proofing your electronics. Dont use to much just enough so that the humidity doesnt short your connections. Over all great content sir thanks for sharing
Oh i forgot to mention installing a “glitch buster” its a capacitor you connect to your receiver. If we got the same kit and i think we did the system draws a little over 1amp. The factory esc puts out 3amps max.. your led lights becomes a source of interference when the esc is trying to pump out the volts from your lipo..
That interference can cause your receiver to fail making you lose control of the car.. i know this because it happened to me. Lol broke my shock tower and cost me 2 new tires and 2 shock towers.
