Hey guys, I'm just gonna give short explanation on the Regular and Irregular thing since the explanation was poor on this episode. Regulars are people who are born in the tower (Outer tower) and are chosen by HEADON (the rabbit thingy in ep 1). Irregulars on the other hand were not born in the tower, DOES NOT follow the rules of the tower, and WAS NOT CHOSEN by Headon. Irregulars is still kinda vague, since we do not know if they actually came from a different world or what not. This is what Bam thought of, since they weren't born in the tower. Also, they stressed to tell us that Irregulars are supposed to be overpowered, and possess incredible feats of strength. EDIT: ANIME ONLY'S DONT READ THE REPLIES. SPOILERS DOWN BELOW.
I think irregulars aren't chosen by Headon, but they can be born in the outer tower, i'm not sure tho. I think that the general definition of irregulars are people chosen by the tower itself, they can be from anywhere i think.
@@1est1 I don't think it matters where they are born. As long as they forcefully opened the tower and weren't chosen by Headon is what makes them irregulars

let's make it easy and clear.. outer tower : where everyone is born (still inside the tower) inner tower : where they climb the tower (inside the tower) middle tower : the one connecting outer and inner tower (inside the tower) regular : the one chosen by Headon to climb the tower (they were born IN outer tower) irregular : the one who is NOT chosen by Headon BUT open the tower's door by themselves (they were also born IN the outer tower) Bam : an irregular who was born OUTSIDE OF THE TOWER (that's why he said "other world" in this episode)= Rachel : a regular who was born OUTSIDE OF THE TOWER (the same place as BAM) also, Bam is NOT THE ONLY irregular (there are others) hope that helps ;)
@Red Even if Bam is the one who "opened" the door, Rachel would still be considered an irregular as stated by SIU. Also, it is unclear whether irregulars can be born in the outer tower or not. Based on the known irregulars, they have to come from outside of the tower.
@@MoneyTrees2012 nope, it's even stated clearly in this eps that Bam said "so it's only Rachel and me who are from other world (means, outside the tower)" and Lero ro also said that EVERYONE is born IN the tower, irregular is just someone who opened the door through the middle tower by themselves and go to the inner tower (to climb the tower) without invitation from Headon (which is why they are called irregular)

Just to make thing clear without spoiling story. 1. Bam and other iregulars are those that entered the tower of their own will without being chosen. Regulars and most people are born in the tower and are chosen to climb up. Not all those who are born in the tower are chosen. 2. The reason the ost reminds you of shield hero is probably because you saw kevin penkin in the credits, he was in charge of the music in shield hero too.
I don't think that the princess just gave him the sword for her own entertainment. It seems that she believes that he could change the tower as per what her assistant said. I think she just said it was for entertainment because she didn't want to admit what she really felt.
I like how the anime handled Khun getting rid of Rak "alligator" and tricking him to escape with Baam and also how Baam and Lero Ro chose the green girl at the same time which made it more of an achievement rather than him hearing Lero Ro choose her and then also picking her.
It's funny you guys mentioned Shield Hero with regard to the music because this show has Kevin Penkin working on the music, who also worked on Shield Hero.
Irregulars are the one who gets to the inner tower(test area)on their own willingly/unwillingly , bam was able to cause of his desire of chasing after Rachel . Also think of shinsu as chakra although it's a little bit different . And that bag must be heavy ... Sorry for my English .
The tower is a gigantic world, like a planet, it is divided into three zones: Outer Zone, where almost all the residents of the tower live, but it is still inside the tower itself. Inner Zone, where those chosen by Headon are transported to pass the tests and reach the top. In addition there is an intermediate zone that connects both areas. Regular: They are chosen by Headon from the outer zone of the tower to climb the Tower in the inner zone. Irregular: They enter the inner zone of the tower of their own free will, somehow forcing the door to open for them, they may be from the exterior area of the tower (outer zone) or simply from another place outside the Tower (as if it were another dimension). Baam and Rachel come from another world outside the Tower.
This is how it work. 1. Regular was chose by Headon, as worthy to climb the tower. So he opens the door for them to climb the tower. 2. Irregulars are those who open the door to the tower by themselves. It has nothing to do if they come outside or inside the tower. Everyone live and was born inside the tower that's the world they live in. And everything in the tower is created by shinso, many have explained it this way so I don't know who to refer to, but see shinsu as air, so the test on the second floor is concentrated air, and the test Headon did for bam as the princess say is for those at a higher floor, Bam is blessed by shinsu and he already passed the test one the test area cuz the steel eel was wiming in shinsu, and he was basically ignoring it like nothing. Most of the stuff will be cleared out later but it is a secret for now for a reason so just let it slide for now.
shinsoo is also the atmosphere from the tower and the higher you go it becomes more concentrated, also some passed the shinsoo wall easily because some are more atune and adapted to the shinsoo than others, thats what that test was about and why leroro said it was a test of luck, because you are born susceptible to high shinsoo concentration ore not, and if you have not, you cant go up the tower
Your close about the irregular part it says irregulars are the people born outside the tower that managed to get into the tower without the permission of the gate keeper haedon
Been reading it for years and y'all did a great job understanding it so far! will say it is slightly confusing in both the source material (up to this chapter) and the way its portrayed in the anime at this point. Love y'all choosing to react to it so early on this will be a fun watch
Everyone who walked through shinsu wall were just physically strong enough/gifted that they can withstand the shinsu pressure, nothing more , nothing less. Serene and Shibisu on the other barely could but get through through sheer willpower ( despite the pain and hardship) . This shows you can develop resistance to shinsu even if you can't at first, though it would be harder.
Alright! Time to explain without spoilers! First thing I noticed are the difference Irregulars and Regulars. Irregulars are people who have not been chosen by both Headon and the Tower itself (God) meaning that they defy all known laws and rules in the tower and are the only people who are able to open the doors into the tower willingly and on their own accord. They were never invited, they came into the tower themselves, they are not supposed to be in the Tower at all. Throughout history, Irregulars have been considered so strong, that they always bring change in the tower, causing chaos. Irregulars are people who were born outside the tower, meaning another world or universe. Regulars are people who were chosen by the tower or Headon more specifically. These are basically your normal average citizens of the tower. They are ordinary and bound by the tower, they are bound to the rules of the tower and the laws it has. And yes! The Regulars or basically people of the tower are all born in the tower, basically living on the outer tower, inner tower is the residential area, where people also live as well. The inner tower is where Regulars go to get tested as the go up the tower. The people who were born in the Tower does not automatically mean they are chosen or they are Regulars yet! The Tower/Headon will choose the people who will become Regulars! Another thing to point out that I believe you guys are a little confused about. The "swords" you refer to are actually called "Needles" but in this anime adaptation, they're called swords. Now you guys have been wondering if most of the characters like Hatz may have the same or similar needle to that of Bam's Black March. No, there are actually 13 months (Swords/Needles) that were made specifically for King Jahad's princesses in which Princess Yuri has the Black March for example. Does this mean there are only 13 princesses? I'll leave that for you to find out later this season. These 13 month Needles are one of the most powerful Needles in the tower, if given to the wrong hands, it can cause serious damage in the tower and perhaps chaos. Some extra information, you guys saw the scene about Shinsu. Shinsu is the source of the Tower basically, the word Shinsu translates to Divine water, it is basically oxygen in this tower and it's really important for everyone in the tower who uses it on a daily basis. The scene where people were able to go through the wall was because they were most likely either born higher p the tower, therefore was able to withstand the shinsu or something else that has to do with their physical body. Keep an eye on Khun's brief case too! Finally! Lero Ro got to the top of the tower! Yes and no... he only made it up to the floor King Jahad is on which is considered the top floor, there is a confirmed amount of floors in this series, I'm not saying the number, but whatever the so called top floor is, it's way higher than what Jahad is on. I hope this doesn't spoil it too much but Jahad stopped at a specific floor and called it the top. I hope you guys liked this explanation and cleared up confusion! Love your first theory though! Again, I'm glad you're enjoying this adventure! Hang tight! As this is about to be one hell of a ride for season 1 of Tower of God!
Irregulars are not chosen by the tower thats why they are called “irregulars” since regulars are the one chosen by the tower to enter. Itregulars are people who entered the tower willingly or unwillingly (which is the case of Bam). Irregulars were feared in the tower since all irregulars that appeared so far are all powerful. That’s why Lero ro said in episode 2 that a monster has appeared.
fuck man i bursted into laughter when the administer Lero Ro came and Kimchi says his name and after that makes a Jojo reference from his name fuck dude that really got me good.
One thing to keep in mind, Irregulars are really rare, like really damn rare, to the extent that there are only 18 in the tower as a whole, so don't expect to meet any casually.
Here's some quick and NON-SPOILER explanation about irregular and regular. The regular is people from the tower. If you're born in the tower wherever part it is, you're a regular. This apply even if you doesn't climb the tower. Think this as a nationality, so for the regular the moment they're born, they bound to the rule of the tower. U will find out what is that rule is as the story goes on. One example is the regular whom want to climb the tower they need to get choosen by headon, if they're not chosen by headon they can't get inside the inner tower no matter what they do. So to clear out your confusion headon does come to resident area to choose the regular to climb the tower and headon choose the regular based on some criteria. Irregular are people who come to the tower by himself. By that definition all irregular came from outside the tower. You might be confused about headon appears in front of bam when bam came to the tower. That's nit choosing, headon is welcoming bam. So yeah bam is irregular. About the eel test, everyone got the test both irregular and regular, it's just the test are different from each person.
Regulars are those born in the Tower and are CHOSEN by Headon to climb the tower ounce they show some talent. Irregulars are those from outside the Tower who AREN'T invited/chosen by Headon but instead open the door to the Tower by themselves. Rachel and Bam are both Irregulars (Rachel was officially confirmed as n irregular). Bam wanting to see rachel and being determined to go after her made the doors to the tower open. The regulars' first test was the hunger games in the fields whereas Bam had to take a test to see if he was worthy of going up as he hadn't been chosen by Headon n was n irregular. Also, Lero Ro saying of course everyone taking the test was born in the tower is due to the rarity of irregulars the odds of meeting n irregular is extremely extremely low.
Regulars are people who are chosen to climb the tower. Irregulars are people who opened the tower by themselves Rankers are people who finished climbing the tower The princess in the first episode is a ranker
actually the top of the tower is just the floor which the emperor, Jahad stayes at, which is 134th floor. There is higher floors but Jahad was reluctant to climb further.
Regulars are people who are chosen by haedon, while irregular are people who enter the tower of their own free will they are usually very strong it has nothing to do with being born on tower or not.
At the very beginning of your video you said level 1,2 &3. Just wanted to help make this clear. This is the 2nd floor of the tower, they have several tests they must pass to go up. This floor has a lot of tests to make sure the regulars are strong enough to survive the tower. At higher floors, regulars must pass a test or a few to go up the tower.
So basically regulars are people that are invited into the tower by headon, and irregulars are people who force their way in without an invitation. And they can’t invite people from other world just Rachel and Bam seem to be from another world as far as we know.
It is nice that most of the comments I saw were SPOILER FREE you can trust them or just keep on going and everything will get clear as the story progresses if they didn't mess up in the anime version here is the meaning of Lero Ro's test: "Shinsu" is the lifeline of the tower and as he said it gets more and more concentrated as you go up the tower. The test is to check if you are compatible (keyword being "compatible") with shinzu.
Headon chooses who will be able to climb the tower and these people live in the outer section of the tower. Irregulars enter the tower by their own will. So far it seems like Bam was kept somewhere else which wasn't apart of the tower.
irregular weren’t chosen but entered the tower forcefully thru sheer will. Anyone chosen by headon becomes regular. Also people who are born in the tower are regular
@Kimchi & Tofu - Irregulars are NOT chosen. They get in themselves somehow. Within the world, EVERYONE is born in the tower and they are considered Regulars when they start climbing. So Bam not being from the tower is unheard of (it's not a possibility in anyone's mind).
Guys think of shinsu as "Nen" and to know how good Bam was remember that in the first test he was walking in shinsu for the ball in the first episode without feeling anything
Basically Haedon gets bored af and he wants to see some change in the tower big or small for amusement. Thats when he lets them irregulars pass his first test if they are worthy.
Regulars are chosen to enter by Headon from the outer tower. Irregulars are not chosen to enter. They forcefully come in by their own will and are historically not only rare, but VERY strong, but dont follow "the rules" of the tower- they do/can do what they want- they are different power wise, societally, willpower wise, etc. Bam is an irregular. At this time we also dont know WHERE he has come from. Everyone else is a regular and from the outer tower. Princess Yuri and her navigator knew Bam was an irregular, Headon knew as well- which is why he made that test difficult....and wasnt so nice. No one else knows Bam is an irregular and it's also not something that should be told to others openly either...
I don't know if you said or know it, but the Speaker of lero ro is the same one who also speaks overhaul from mha. there are even more speaker from mha in tower of god. sry my englich is very bad.
Just an observation I made and a prediction. I think that Bam is secretly really strong, has potential to become really strong, or maybe is someone important who has lost his memory(he told Rachel he doesn't remember anything before the cave he was in). I thought it was weird when I watched the first episode with the eel test. To me it looked like the eel was swimming but Bam was walking around. I've deduced that the eel was swimming around, and what it was swimming in was Shinsu. The reason I think Bam is secretly strong is that he was able to walk around in the test ground with the eel with ease (Princess Yuri even mentioned that the eel test was a level 20 difficulty type test and Lero ro said that the Shinsu intensifies as you climb the tower). This would explain why Bam didn't get pushed back by the Shinsu.
Shinsu that lero ro used is really powerfull that khun (blue turtle) and rak wraitser (crocodile) get pushed back, but Bam don't get pushed when he is close with khun and rak, that mean bam is a monster
Don't overthink the rules and level changes. The strong move up and the weak don't. Luck is a strength but if something happens numerous times it's not luck, it's strength.
Headon only tested Bam because he wasn't supposed to be there and Headon isn't supposed to let irregular troublemakers in. The giant hand is... I dunno wtf that was supposed to mean. The 400 other regulars were born in the tower and Headon "chose" them and sent them to the first deathmatch test. They never had to fight the eel.
They are considered as irregulars cause they enter the tower forcefully by their own will. They are not chosen but they are given a chance by the caretaker Headon. In the first episode, Headon gave Bam a very unfair test cuz he is an irregular. The reason being is because irregulars are really strong on a specific point. Also, the Black March is one of the swords only used by the Princesses of Jahad. Just for you to understand, Princess of Jahad isn’t related to him. They are chosen in different families in every generation. As they are chosen, they are able to obtain one of the swords. The Black March is one of the strongest sword in there that’s why it is very well known. Just to give a small small spoiler on Bam being an irregular, he must be strong right? Well the spoiler word is ‘shinzu’, ‘chakra’.
It is really hard to understand the story actually, cuz even in the manhwa, they didn’t explained that much. You’ll soon understand the reasons or the questions are going to be answered in the near future. The story is unique and good, and for me, you will be able to understand it more in the manhwa especially the fantasy and magic things. I hope u enjoy.
If you do the math if only 200 people could pass the test but if they didnt make a team of three they didnt pass that means in reality only 198 people could pass the test, meaning theoretically if everyone achieves to make a team, 2 persons would be out only for taking too long to decide
I’ve only watched the anime so I don’t know if this is true but I don’t think the door was supposed to open up for Rachel I think it sensed Baam and opened up taking her in by mistake

You simple have to be born lucky to witstand shinsu
Kinda how Clark Kent, So Goku or Annakin Skywalker were all lucky to be borne with their abilities.
Tofu: "You don't mess with a man with a briefcase".
Me: Thinks about Leorio in Hunter x Hunter... Yeah, I think I'll be fine.
let's make it easy and clear..
outer tower : where everyone is born
(still inside the tower)
inner tower : where they climb the tower
(inside the tower)
middle tower : the one connecting outer and inner tower
(inside the tower)
regular : the one chosen by Headon to climb the tower (they were born IN outer tower)
irregular : the one who is NOT chosen by Headon BUT open the tower's door by themselves (they were also born IN the outer tower)
Bam : an irregular who was born OUTSIDE OF THE TOWER (that's why he said "other world" in this episode)=
Rachel : a regular who was born
OUTSIDE OF THE TOWER (the same place as BAM)
also, Bam is NOT THE ONLY irregular (there are others)
hope that helps ;)
All Irregulars come from outside of the tower. Not from the outer tower.
@@deserteagle78966 nope, again.. read my reply to Caliside.. also, as far as i know, Rachel is invited which makes her a regular.. but well, we don't know that for sure since there's no physical invitation so think whatever you want.. but in my opinion Rachel is a regular (since she didn't open the door by herself)
@@reDoraemon If you're not a webtoon reader, I highly suggest you not spread misinformation like this. Keep in mind meeting an Irregular inside of the Tower is as unlikely as winning the lottery. Lero Ro most likely has never met an Irregular before Bam

Leorio: (insert chairman election image)
Bam made his way in he wasn't chosen.
Caesar 1
Nah the tower chose him as you can see the hand sucked him in
Irregulars were NOT chosen by Headon. Irregulars are extremely powerful and bring chaos with them lol. Love yall's reaction!
Headon picked Rachel to make Bam come in though.
@@tulkdog no he didn't
@@Complex_assault
Bam could open the gate for himself, but didn’t want to. Rachel on the other hand had to be let in by Headon. The only reason Bam entered the tower was to follow Rachel. Had Headon not let her in, Bam would not have entered either.
@@tulkdog Headon can only pick regulars and notice how he said the tower did not call to you and several other things. We also find out in the anime that all regulars are born and live in the tower and anyone that doesn't come from it is an irregular since bam is an irregular and Rachel was with him there she is an irregular too thus Headon couldn't have called to either so he couldn't know about them, so Rachel went in with her desires and bam went in for her.
@@Complex_assault
You’re right. I also just remembered that Rachel is also an irregular
Just to make thing clear without spoiling story.
1. Bam and other iregulars are those that entered the tower of their own will without being chosen. Regulars and most people are born in the tower and are chosen to climb up. Not all those who are born in the tower are chosen.
2. Like its stated in another comment, you can think of shinsu as chakra, magic, ki, etc.. Its this worlds force that provides power, life, energy, etc..
3. Bam isnt in love with rachel, or owned by her like a slave. Until now bam has only known rachel and learned everything he knows now from her. She is everything to bam in that she saved him from his dark loneliness. Hence forth why hes obsessed with her.
Just Correcting
Regulars are chosen by headon
and Irregulars opens the door by themself without headon chose them.
Its not like you're born inside or outside the tower.
No, regulars are chosen by Headon from Outer area to climb in Inner area. Irregulars come from another world, they open gates to the Tower themselves.
they re not from another world, they re from outside the tower
@@matiasagustin06 Thinking how massive the tower is, it wouldn't be a lie to say they come from another world, I mean, the tower itself is probably as big if not bigger than our planet and it stretches so far up, is really insane
@@matiasagustin06 this is spoiler if you don't read the webtoon but irregulars are from the tower too but like they said they force themselves into it but Rachel and bam are an special case, this can be proven by the fact that urek just know how would look like the outside but doesn't know how it actually is. I'm gonna be honest I hope I find a girl like your wife like omg your such a lucky man 😂
Regular is the person chosen to enter the gate while the irregular is the one who opens the gate himself and all Iregulars must be very strong ... so Lero Ro says "the monster has arrived" The problem is the previous "Urek Mazino" is the strongest ranker in the tower. and in Manua only 5 people are known to be an Iregullar
1. Phantaminum (High Ranker/Axis)
2. Enryu (High Ranker)
3. King Jahad
4. Urek Mazino (High Ranker)
5. Bam
Also, "if he makes it to the top and sees the king with that.." is the most innocent concern about this show I've ever heard lol we've got a LOOOOOOONG road ahead.
*"It rEmInDs Me Of ShIeLdHeRo"*
You guys gained 1 point
I feel pure hate
they were talking about the music which was composed by the same guy that worked on shield hero
Yeah. The bag is heavy indeed ;)
We saw a glimpse of best girl Endorssi, so this automatically made this episode ten times better.
Yes! This anime will make you think! Too many mysteries 👌 Thank you for this vid 🥰
So funny to see Baam here where everyone is so strong and wants to fight.. He's jus too pure for this haha!:D
shinsoo is also the atmosphere from the tower and the higher you go it becomes more concentrated, also some passed the shinsoo wall easily because some are more atune and adapted to the shinsoo than others, thats what that test was about and why leroro said it was a test of luck, because you are born susceptible to high shinsoo concentration ore not, and if you have not, you cant go up the tower
Fun Fact: Kevin Penkin did the OST for TOG and Rising of the Shield Hero.
Yayy! U r doing more frequent updates. Thank you so much😍
fuck man i bursted into laughter when the administer Lero Ro came and Kimchi says his name and after that makes a Jojo reference from his name fuck dude that really got me good.
Irregulars are people who opened the tower by themselves
Rankers are people who finished climbing the tower
The princess in the first episode is a ranker
kaden turd Yuri is a High Ranker*
actually the top of the tower is just the floor which the emperor, Jahad stayes at, which is 134th floor. There is higher floors but Jahad was reluctant to climb further.
Lero Ro has the same voiceactor as overhaul
Regulars are people who are chosen by haedon, while irregular are people who enter the tower of their own free will they are usually very strong it has nothing to do with being born on tower or not.
I knew Lero Ro's VA the minute I heard Overhaul's and Sakaido's
Headon doesn't choose irregulars. They enter the tower by themselves.
Irregular were not chosen by Headon, regulars are chosen by him.
that crocodile guy reminds of inoske.
So basically regulars are people that are invited into the tower by headon, and irregulars are people who force their way in without an invitation. And they can’t invite people from other world just Rachel and Bam seem to be from another world as far as we know.
regulars are chosen by hedon, and they live inside the tower
Irregulars live outside the tower, and open the doors into the tower by themselves.
Rak calls them "turtles" because the place where Rak lives only have Alligators and most of the population are more commonly turtles
He calls people turtles because they live within certain rules of society, afraid of sticking their head out of their safety (their shell)..
It is nice that most of the comments I saw were SPOILER FREE you can trust them or just keep on going and everything will get clear as the story progresses if they didn't mess up in the anime version
here is the meaning of Lero Ro's test:
"Shinsu" is the lifeline of the tower and as he said it gets more and more concentrated as you go up the tower.
Lol I literally was watching your first reaction to this 10min ago great timing
Did you know that the voice actor of khun is nobuhiko okamoto it's the same as karma akabane in assasination classroom❤️❤️❤️
irregular weren’t chosen but entered the tower forcefully thru sheer will. Anyone chosen by headon becomes regular. Also people who are born in the tower are regular
11:07 lol no, just a coffee machine.
I was laughing a lot when Tofu said..."how can bam be a monster"😂...He will be the king of monsters😉
Phantaminum is the biggest monster, so I doubt that you can call Bam the king of monsters
actually I meant to say than Bam will be one hell of a monster
Yeah I get it
Just an observation I made and a prediction.
Shinsu that lero ro used is really powerfull that khun (blue turtle) and rak wraitser (crocodile) get pushed back, but Bam don't get pushed when he is close with khun and rak, that mean bam is a monster
shield hero and tower of gods music were made by Kevin penkin

Overhaul’s VA from My Hero Academia is Lero Ro :3
Those 3 idiots will be BFFs for life. 😁
Rak calls them turtles based on hair/hair color. Cuz there hair is like a shell.
Also the Eel of the first episode was swimming in shinsu and Baam went through it with ease
I like how their calling Khun 'blue turtle' because that's what I called him when I couldn't remember his name.
But his name is literally the most memorable thing if you're a football fan
Currently reading the manhwa and I would say that the story is really fresh
Think of shinsu along the lines of chakra, ki, chi, or mana. You can kind of treat it as the energy of this world

That green chick is one bad ass woman!
Don't overthink the rules and level changes. The strong move up and the weak don't. Luck is a strength but if something happens numerous times it's not luck, it's strength.
So Shinsu is almost like Nen?
The guys who passes through shinsu barrier is because they had lot of affinity to it mostly
It can be a confusing series at times as you learn things with no pay off for ages but it is all worth it.
0:55 Yess! Thank you 😆
Headon only tested Bam because he wasn't supposed to be there and Headon isn't supposed to let irregular troublemakers in.
