I was just about to post this same thing. History just continues to repeat itself. Has nothing been learned? Kaspa has far more technology and much more prestigious team than Kadena could dream of. Also I could understand him selling if he had an ROI to worry about, but he gets his equipment for free so really no good reason I can understand honestly.

I am holding on to kaspa for the long term. There are other coins though I would mine and dump to btc though. Its a solid strategy. This is also what the large companies do. They mine and sell it to pay off bills or pay off miners or just to pocket the profit

So if mining to a wallet is income, shouldnt the miner be a writeoff as a business expense?
Plus a whole bunch of other deductions, including office space and any utilities you use for your business. Should be fully deductible. RPM, what's your experience?
Nice, Iceriver KS2 is about $32K depending on tax. Then you sold about 10K in 1 month, not bad not bad. Then have to calculate taxes to your government, then electric cost, maintenance, pretty sweet.
And he got the ASIC free as well.
We have to do what is right for our unique situations to stay-afloat in this unprofitable (let's be real) hobby of ours. Even if you're now part of the problem of Kaspa's downfall and the massive wealth erosion of many months of hard GPU mining for many of your viewers. Both statements are Facts, even if they aren't glittered in sugar.
Being a responsible adult about your personal financial situation should never be considered a bad thing. Good on you Panda for giving people a reality check. 👍

One thing to keep in mind.. imagine watching RPM last month, and buying the ks2 because of the video.. then couple weeks later.. you still havent got the asic. But the ks3 is already on its way..😂
If your point is that selling your coin doesn’t move the market than you failed to prove that because the second you sold you turned that green candle into a pancake. That matters a lot especially to the bot algos trading.
Volume accounts for selling and buying, so mining dumping coins can't be related to that...
It's your freedom to buy or sell whenever you feel right. Sure, all buys and sells affect the market up or down, but then again you can't ask everyone to not sell when you sell, or everyone not buy when you want to buy. Everyone else has the same freedom also.
And thats not the % of sell pressure.. volume includes selling and buying wash trading.

In the long term this would have no effect on the price of Kaspa. Selling to pay your taxes wasn't really a choice so it makes sense
I like RPM but please do the contrary of what he is doing! I remember that he was holding ETH when price was 4k and i selled all and now he is selling kaspa when you have to buy and hold, i know that he has good intentions but when is technical analysis he is lacking of that knowledge! kaspa technically speaking is going for the 0.786 fibo that is 0.01 and is going to do a rally for the 0.033 to 0.036 range the bad scenery the good scenary is a higher high in a few months maybe less so for me sell at 0.013 is a big mistake you only have to wait a few weeks i can get the taxes but just sell to sell in a random place is a newbie mistake
07/23 today price is 0.039! You can really see how technical analysis really works! RPM could easily make the triple if he would wait 2 months

Tax laws in crypto are so unfair. In farming, grain harvested is not taxed on income until its sold. It’s considered inventory while holding. The same needs to happen with crypto.

I do the same for any and all new miners I purchased except I don’t sell to fiat I swap to BTC or USDC, whatever the amount in BTC coins I spent to purchase the miner, I always swap daily earning to BTC until I gain all my initial BTC spent back! then after that I hodle the native coin of the miner.
in the US depending on your Business type not the amount your business earn, you have to pay quarterly or annually; in my case/state annually and I used funds from what I work (not mine) to pay all my taxes.

very wrong move from a very experince miner, what a shame. how do they(tax man) even know when the kaspa come in to your wallet? do you give them the ins and outs of your personal wallet? As far as i know you only need to pay tax if you selling it. May be in Canada its diffirent and i respect that but how do they know if you dont tell them ? your keys your crypto, the entire idea of crypto currecy is not involving goverment and their doggy way of taxing. Strange. its wierd that there is a law in tax in canada it only cares the value of the coin when its hit to your wallet. But that means your wallet is exposed to the government. you may as well give them your keys just like your bank does.
The ultimate goal is once you do sell into Cash, to your bank account, it's all auditable. The tax man is going to ask where did that initially come from? from mining of course and so you have to prove and show that cost basis and when you received those coins to your own wallet.
