He's speaking a lot of sense too. The average politician abandons their promises. I'm sure Trump will abandon some if not most of his promises or simply won't be able to complete them. Also people like to rebel and not be told to do something. The media and politicians all said "You have to vote for Hillary." Americans are people who do not like to be told what to do. It's a country born out of rebellion. A country where "Don't tread on me" is a lifestyle.
Says the person who is to lazy to even use the word "are" correctly. Keep talking shit, you only look even more stupid when you cannot use basic grammar correctly.
That is not all of our education system, so not quite sure why you are only blaming that. The problem that a lot of people have here is that we listen to one small detail, and stick to it. For example, Trump saying that he will make Mexico build the wall to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. People who voted for him saw that as a way to have someone who is an outsider from the political field. Our education system has almost nothing to do with it, all of it really depends on the individuals interest.
Its not so much the Americans (Sort of) its for of the minorities that lie to themselves and the feminists, that are dumb... If you look at social media its all Blacks and Feminists...
I dont know what I was expecting from the channel of someone who makes video game commentaries and isn't even a citizen of the USA, but I'm glad I stayed and listened through the whole thing. That was honestly one of the most rational breakdowns of the campaign/election I've heard in the last year or so of continuous unavoidable coverage. It's a shame more people can't take a step back and appreciate that the bigger issues this country (and planet) is facing will never be resolved without some degree of unity. Kudos Johnny, really appreciate your input.
Of all the talking heads spouting off their post-election opinions, the most rational, level-headed and eloquent analysis I've heard thusfar came from a Canadian video game reviewer. Truly amazing.
I was scared when I saw the title that it would be another one of those videos, but you pleasantly surprised me. It was nice to hear a rational view point from an outsider after all the toxicity surrounding all of this. Hell I even decided to take a break from Facebook it was so bad. Thank you Johnny for being honest and restoring a little bit of my hope for humanity.
This wasn't where I was expecting a a calm logical breakdown of American politics to come from. You played the only winning hand in Internet political discussions, to not take a side, and I congratulate you for that john.
This was a great commentary John. One thing you did get wrong was when you said if you had no job and no money a vote for Trump made sense, but if you had it made a vote for Clinton made sense. The demographics of the election showed that people with higher incomes actually voted for Trump over Clinton. It was essentially somewhat wealthy white people who felt they were no longer capable of going upwards in their life (Probably due to no education) and they blamed it on the government. Clinton was absolutely horrible at appealing to those people.
To be completely honest, Bernie Sanders was much more electable than Hillary (and Trump). But yeah, the smugness of the established pundits was a big force in creating Trump.
jbenvenga Bernie wants to get rid of the banks. Tf you talking about bud. He's also in tons of debt from the banks. He also wants free college, yeah let's give free college to people for fun and tax everyone out the ass
Electable maybe. Remember that he was never criticized at all since the Republicans never thought he had a chance (which they were right about). The truth is that he had no idea what he was talking about. He was a crazy old socialist with ideas straight outta Venezuela. He honeymooned in the Soviet Union. I think he was very honest about wanting to tackle corruption, but he's totally uneducated and unaware when it comes to policies. The guy has never held a job outside of government in his entire life.
Johnny this was amazing my Canadian brotha! You speak logic and common sense and that's what I love about you, got two different personalities such as you being a raging goof and here you are showing us Americans what the presidential election is all about.
Also the fact that Hillary won the popular vote but not the presidency is pretty funny. I believe we should change the system as well. I've been saying it for years. As a Californian my vote didn't matter this year at all. Over 2 million Californians voted trump to have their vote go straight into the garbage because of the electoral college
but doesn't it make sense to have the president with the most votes win? States aren't people so why should they get more representation than people? It shouldn't matter where people are living, the majority should matter. Plus even if we were to switch to popular vote things wouldn't change much. There has only been a couple times in US history that the winner of the election wasn't the winner of the popular vote so most elections would have similar results to ones in the past but it would make more sense as a whole
John, you dropped a very interesting segment here. We all have a lot to think about in the coming years and you're right, we should stand together instead of tearing eachother apart.
I appreciate the views and opinions of every Canadian perspective on this election. They are unbiased, extremely reasonable, and define the Canadian stereotype of always being polite with how respectful they have been. I think that it is time that we actually follow the example our Canadian brethren set for us, rather than joking about their opinions...
The same people who gave a Nobel Prize to Obama before he lifted a finger are the ones who think the Apocalypse is coming before Trump sets foot in the Oval. I wouldn't have voted for either one and I'm not American, but come on, the over-reaction by some people it's almost comical.
I voted for trump because I am truly curious to see where he takes this country in the next 4 years. He is different than your typical politician, so johnny you hit the nail on the head with this video.
Frosty Blizzard Gaming well, the way I see it (I'm neutral, BTW), is that the very things that leftists accused trump and his supporters are being are being shown in their protests. They are creating chaos, upsetting the natural transition of power, and singling out trump supporters and beating them up (in Chicago at least).
Brandon Cheng I'll join you in that neutrality, but hey, to me, Politics is a game of hypocrisy. It'll be said one way, done another and viewed another. America's gotta get it's shit together, or it'll fuck itself up. Who will really be to blame then.
While what you said was true John I don't think it's as simple as "more of the same vs. radical change". Most of your subs will probably agree with you but that's because (and I think this is a fair assumption) that they're mostly white males. Women, muslims, Latinos (like myself) (yeah I know a Latino that likes hockey crazy right) and other minorities are truly fearful of the president-elect's bold strategies. Millions of families would get split up and the feeling of persecution would arise like it did in the 1950s and 1960s. Whether or not he will go through with his plans is another story but those ideas are what got him elected which is scary in and of itself. I wish it was as simple as change vs. continuity but good on you for voicing your opinion the way you did and for being so informed despite being a Canadian. Best shootout commentary in a while keep it up my man
A vote for Hillary Clinton is definitely a vote for more of the same, but I agree a vote for Trump isn't necessarily a vote for radical change. It's more of a vote for the unknown. We really don't know what he is going to do because while he is technically a Republican, I don't think he stands for the same thing as the Republican establishment which is why they tried to get rid of him in the primaries. I don't know what this means as far as immigration is concerned, but I really think that he will begin walking back his more radical claims.
honestly, he's right. I'm not the biggest fan of Trump, but all the pounce on hate makes me mad. he's still got three months till office, just give him a chance! it wouldn't hurt and you protesting isn't going to change anything.
I love how Johnny, a Canadian knows more about each candidate than half the American population
Jack Kilduff so true lmao
Jack Kilduff you sure bout that?
yogaknives harembe was a better politician
Wilson Wolf shut the fuck up you 12 year old
Wilson Wolf Haha True
Johnny you would vote for Phil Kessel, Make America Skate Again
Beat shootout commentary you ever had. 100% truth right here
i mean its always 100 % truth in his vids but yeah
I never though he would dare to comment on this subject!
aapee Really? Johnny's a smart guy, I was anticipating this video.
He's speaking a lot of sense too. The average politician abandons their promises. I'm sure Trump will abandon some if not most of his promises or simply won't be able to complete them. Agree OneManArmy
Why do you know more about American politics than most Americans
Bdots44 because he's a canadian
Bdots44 that's completely incorroect
Connor Tully Lmao you really think most Americans know everything Johnny is saying
Says the person who is to lazy to even use the word "are" correctly. Keep talking shit, you only look even more stupid when you cannot use basic grammar correctly.
I'm an American and i confirmed thst we r pretty dumb just go to an average high school and just listen to da dumb shit they say
The accuracy of what Johnny said 4 years later is insanely accurate
Jonny for president
jonny morris too bad he's Canadian
Adam Mayber Ted Cruz is Canadian and he ran for president........ but he had to renounce his Canadian citizenship
ted cruz was also american though, big difference
Oh shit you right
JoeyBatFlip jgtufgfffffffffrivntyf
Very well spoken Johnny. I can always count on 2BC to keep it a hundred
American education is an embarrassment. Johnny knows more than almost any American I know
That is not all of our education system, so not quite sure why you are only blaming that. The problem that a lot of people have here is that we listen to one small detail, and stick to it. For example, Trump saying that he will make Mexico build the wall to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. It's not the education, it's the lack of commitment to learning about the educations.
Aryaan Madan Seems like you could represent an American education
Its not so much the Americans (Sort of) its for of the minorities that lie to themselves and the feminists, that are dumb... If you look at social media its all Blacks and Feminists...
RUclips Sucks Canadian education is worse! Trust me
People need to give him a chance and stop on the hate bandwagon.
itsErratics exactly
itsErratics that is if he even steps foot in the White House. Court case in December.
zacht1306 yeah, that's all fake, surely you know that.
itsErratics I'll give him a chance but he is going to turn back the clock on America and go back to some dark times.
I agree, but you have to understand the fear among the LGBTQ community, women, muslims, African-Americans, and latinos...
wow it’s been 4 years
Well well well here we are again!
Johnny would have voted trump
Don't agree with you 100% but, thanks for having the balls to comment on this honestly and without malice. Your vids and commentaries are great!
Little did he know Kanye would run in 2020
Johnny is more informed than the american people.
XD that comment made my day
I dont know what I was expecting from the channel of someone who makes video game commentaries and isn't even a citizen of the USA, but I'm glad I stayed and listened through the whole thing. I love how you broke down both candidates while being completely unbiased unlike most people
nice thorough opinion Johnny. But America would've been a little safer if they picked Bernie Sanders
Larence Persaud bernie is a socialist which is a form of communism
+6sideraptor10 Democratic Socalist.
+6sideraptor10 you are a fucking idiot, you don't know what you are talking about just stfu and stop talking politics before you get a clue
Bernie wound have gotten crushed
Bernie was born 20 years too early
Thank you for sharing your opinion Johnny. I like Trump and people call me exactly what you said. I appreciate your transparency.
Boy this aged well 😂
Kinda. He was wrong about the transparency, Trump lied like a dog on a rug. And the impeachments didn't end well
@@MovieBuffConnorJamieson that was supposed to be sarcasm

Johnny said " just because things aren't going well doesn't mean you jump ship" even he's a Leafs fan. Lol
Johny, this is probably the best video I've seen on the election, not neutral, just logical and optimistic of the future. Great job dude!
I was scared when I saw the title that it would be another one of those videos, but you pleasantly surprised me. It was nice to hear a rational view point from an outsider after all the toxicity surrounding all of this. Hell I even decided to take a break from Facebook it was so bad. I totally agree with you ;) The shootout of Kane was huge !
This wasn't where I was expecting a a calm logical breakdown of American politics to come from. You played the only winning hand in Internet political discussions, to not take a side, and I congratulate you for that john.
Who’s here in 2024
The most truthful video I've seen in a while
This was a great commentary John. One thing you did get wrong was when you said if you had no job and no money a vote for Trump made sense, but if you had it made a vote for Clinton made sense. Johnny has a better view on American politics than anyone I know and he's Canadian
To be completely honest, Bernie Sanders was much more electable than Hillary (and Trump).
But yeah, the smugness of the established pundits was a big force in creating Trump.
The problem with Bernie is his loudest supporters. In their mind everything is racist, it's pulling away people.
aapee and their commies
jbenvenga he's a commie
jbenvenga Bernie wants to get rid of the banks. Tf you talking about bud. He's also in tons of debt from the banks. He also wants free college, yeah let's give free college to people for fun and tax everyone out the ass

I were almost sure Johnny were going to say ''Make our country, both Canada and America great again''
Donald Trump is like Call of Duty Infinite warfare... people hate him because other people hate him....
i think the funniest thing was the background, "brickwall quick"
Very well said Johnny. You know more about politics than most Americans lol. Keep up the good content.
Johnny. If you hold LT (If precision move is automatically on) you will slide backwards when you do the dirty bird.
John are you gonna make a video about Bryan Bickell having MS?
Johnny did you win that last shootout
Johnny I'm Amerocan and what u said is the best explanation I've heard on the subject!
Is there two different Team USA in NHL 17, the WC team and one with Kessel?

but doesn't it make sense to have the president with the most votes win? States aren't people so why should they get more representation than people?
