Great riding from you and Megan. Reading the trail skills are not optional. It’s the combination of steep and the loose rocks that would have me saying “no thanks, too much for me”. Well done!
Literally drove past this trail yesterday on a quick tour with the gf, and i gotta say after seeing it you're off your head mate! Its ridiculous how steep it is! Well done, Froff!
What an adventure this trip has been for you, looks like some of those trails take some serious effort and confidence.. Great riding and great edit mate..
That's a brilliant trail and fantastic video mate. And the Views!! Loved every minute of it. Really need to get there. Was fantastic when Megan was out front, gave you a much better perspective of how tricky the trail is. Well ridden by both of you. How were the wrists at the end of it all?
Looks epic! Come ride in WA if you want to experience a lack of grip :p our pea gravel is sensation. Don't have any mountains big enough for the exposure, but the little elevation we have we make the most of
Yeah mate first time I ever went mountain biking was in Kalamunda. Sounds like there’s a lot more trails around now though. Keen to get back over there.
Mate that was some awesome riding! Rode my first black Diamond trails the other day but natural selection made them look like a ride to the shops hahaha
Natural Selection is something else. I'll have to toughen up a bit for a few weeks at Derby first and wear the full body helmet with armholes. You did well to keep your skin intact. I really like your chat and style of video. Scary big loose terrain deserves respect. No jackass headbanging soundtrack a plus . Definitely a place to swap to your E=Mtb² for the climbs.
Extremely entertaining froff dog! That was nuts! Love your vids dude…. No bullshit, just genuine Stoke👌🏼 Riding that trail with no gloves🤯 and Megan clipped in🤯. Sick🤘🏼
Ha! Didn’t think I’d come across this on the interwebs! You’re absolutely right, the camera hides just how steep it gets! See ya when you’re down next!
Great setting, view and trail length drop! Top rocky section and the creek crossings look great, flowy bermy sections, meh. Drop it down into the gully next to it would be wicked. More techy single trail ftw!
Wow froff, looks unreal I was shitting myself watching it!! I been following you for a while now and it would be great to see a video of you doing a "best of/ high and low lights of tassie" Appreciate your efforts dude 🤙🤙
man you could easerly loose a kneecap on this trail. ronny burns (the surfer) lost his life in Hawaii on a dirt bike trail hitting a rock with his knee and bleeding out......that fact makes this decent of yours legendary and highlights what a level this track really is....
Queenstown is chasing Derby for the MTB dollar. I drove through Queenstown a few weeks ago, still a ghost town. I expected more MTB based shops and people riding bikes. I think I saw one bike on a roof rack. I hope Queenstown takes off because it needs a draw card. For Tasmanians it’s too far away, they don’t like to travel more than an hour or so. They’ve built it but It’ll be interesting to see if tourists come.
I really hope it takes off there too mate. The trails are so unique. We also had a really fun time in town. The locals where very accomodating to me and my family.
Viewing the trail from the riders POV says nothing about the trail other than it's dry and up high . It isn't until there's a ride in front that you get a sense of the steep decent, the rocks and drops and just how loose it is.
Why are you guys riding without gloves? When someone falls, they tend to put their hands out. When I was riding, I never went without gloves; never mind how slick sweaty hands get. And getting shuttled up?! Half of mountain biking is the climb up.
Considering what Oz does to their people with regard to C19, no one should ever promote that tyranny. - AB rocketing up mountains on a 2022 Specialized Epic in Santa Barbara California and Sabah Borneo
Well, I thought I may like to ride there, but after seeing that, skidding down a rocky cliff for 10 klms don’t look like to much fun. I like steep, I don’t mind rocks, but 15 kilometres of skidding, well not so much! First trail looked better, what about an ebike on that first trail you rode, as not to keen on having to walk or ride up bloody hills, especially when you been shuttled to the top.
Great watching, Captain Froff! Shred on!
Cheers legends. 👩✈️
Great riding from you and Megan. Reading the trail skills are not optional. It’s the combination of steep and the loose rocks that would have me saying “no thanks, too much for me”. Well done!
Hey Froff , they had this video playing in the Vertigo shop at Derby on the big screen 👌🤣👍
Ya kidding! That’s so sick! Cheers for the heads-up mate.
Literally drove past this trail yesterday on a quick tour with the gf, and i gotta say after seeing it you're off your head mate! Its ridiculous how steep it is!
Well done, Froff!
Hahaha it’s a beautiful, quirky town. We can’t wait to go back.
wow what a landscape & Megan was clipped in too! Great vid mate 👌
Cheers Dave! 👍
That looks unreal, Awesome edit! Queenstown just made it to the top of my ride list. Thanks!
That place looks wicked, thanks for taking us there Froff!
I'll be there next month! Looks so hectic, think I'll need more than 1 spare pair of pads
Hey FroffDog, another great video man. Loving the Tassie videos. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thanks heaps John!
Just draggin the rear tyre all the way down. Sounds heaps fun.
Another one to the list of places I have to go in tassie . Thanks for the awesome viewing you bloody legend!!

So cool! great video mate :) Queenstown & Tasmania looks pretty epic for MTB
Need to work out how to fit this into my Tassie trip in a few weeks
Would highly recommend squeezing it in!
This made me so excited and so scared. Keen to ride them next week!
You should be scared Jacko 😝
Mate that has just made me wanna do a tassie trip awesome frotha
Cheers Yoda! Yeah you should do it mate
Sick dude. Hanging to get to Tassie
That's a brilliant trail and fantastic video mate. And the Views!! Loved every minute of it. Really need to get there. Was fantastic when Megan was out front, gave you a much better perspective of how tricky the trail is. Well ridden by both of you. How were the wrists at the end of it all?
Aw thanks heaps mate! The wrists weren’t too bad surprisingly! Would love to see some Sportilium Queenstown footage soon 😎
Looks epic!

@@Froff it's exploded here in the last 2 years
That looks like some epic fun.
What crazy trails Froffer, nice work. They're going on the bucket list now!
I'd put it as the last item, or maybe just before "Dive with sharks without a cage" 😁
That's incredible! Can't wait to get back to Tassie, awesome riding mate 🤟
Cheers Lachy, appreciate it mate.
wow barely looks like its even in Aus! great vid and riding, convinced me i NEED to get there somehow
Cheers mate! Yeah it’s so unique 👌
Looks awesome!
This gave me sweaty palms! Awesome skills and great video!
Thanks legend!
Mate that was some awesome riding! Rode my first black Diamond trails the other day but natural selection made them look like a ride to the shops hahaha
Haha cheers mate, it’s full on.
One of the best mtb vids I've seen. Will def need to add Queenstown to my dream Tassie trip!
Thanks so much David, really, REALLY appreciate your comment mate.
Looks sick, will need to check it out
Another sick video!
You haven’t even watched it yet 😂
Okay. This place has flown a little under the radar for me planning my Tassie trip, but I think I'll be adding it for sure. Cannot wait for March.
Sick dude!
So good! Straight onto the must do list!
My god this was great to watch.. I lived there in the early 90’s.
Thanks mate
Froffy on the rocks...pickin lines and feelin fine.....never gonna let us down...👌
😂
It’s just awesome!! Great video mate 🔥
Thanks heaps mate, its so unique out there.
That's superb mate. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Wow, your trail there in australia have a quite semi dessert soil..very loose and rocky..ride safe
Yikes! You can tell how steep it is from the sound of the tires skidding on the gravel. Looked super loose too.
absolutely blown away, you have got some serious MTB experience my brother, that was nuts.
ok this needs to happen in my life. what a trail. tip to the hat for the riding brother, well done.
Cheers mate!! Such a sick trail 🔥
Man that was crazy to watch haha.
GoPro even made parts look steep 😅
This is MENTAL!!
Looks insane!
Hey man can you do a video of what you carry with you for each ride?
Yeah man I’ll try to put it in an upcoming video soon!
Looks like you scored with the weather mate. West coast rarely that hospitible weather wise.
Very lucky mate

Thanks a lot Rob! I love a bit of headbanging music but I try to leave it out of the edits 😂 good luck for your ride 👍
@@Froff New Shredwater ck track at Railton/Sheffield looks worth a visit and new tracks at Georgetown 👍👍before you go home.
Fantastic video. Tasmania’s West Coast is amazing. There is nothing else like Mt. Owen and Zeehan trails.
Froffing!!
Oath!!
Extremely entertaining froff dog! That was nuts! Love your vids dude…. No bullshit, just genuine Stoke👌🏼 Riding that trail with no gloves🤯 and Megan clipped in🤯. Sick🤘🏼
Thanks heaps Jules! Really appreciate that
Trails and scenery looks absolutely insane! Great vid
Is this a trail bike location, or do you think my Scalepl SE would do ok?
Thanks Hamish! It’d probably do OK on Waterfall, but not sure about the rest. I’m sure you could make it work 😜
Good job !!!! Scary awesome sick trail .....
Thanks mate
That place looks mint. I’d need a hydration pack full of sunscreen but!
Ha! Didn’t think I’d come across this on the interwebs! You’re absolutely right, the camera hides just how steep it gets!
See ya when you’re down next!
Dude!! Hahaha I didn’t think I’d come across you on the interweb! Nice meeting you mate, can’t wait to get back!
Awesome trail name (Natural Selection). Great job on the sound balancing of the your video. What is rule #2 if #1 is "Don't die"?
Thanks so much mate, I put a lot of time into the audio and I’m never 💯 satisfied 🤯 love editing it though. Rule #2 have a sick time.
Epic! The little reminder to yourself to not die 😂👌🏼
😂😂 Rule #1
Great setting, view and trail length drop! Top rocky section and the creek crossings look great, flowy bermy sections, meh. Drop it down into the gully next to it would be wicked. More techy single trail ftw!
Yeah dude!! I think the gully actually turns into a waterfall haha so that would be interesting.
These trails are freakin wild man!!! Awesome
Such a sick spot. Cheers mate
Spent a good chunk of my childhood roaming the hills of Queenstown. Never like this tho. Cudos to your extreme skills and intestinal fortitude.
29k! views already, go Froff!!
Thank Jem
Good camera positioning. Made good viewing.
Cheers mate.
great quality video! liked/subscribed!
Awesome video Flowmentum MTB

Appreciate it mate! Thanks for the great idea, I’ll see how I go 😎
Is Maydena next?
Not sure mate, I did ride there but didn’t get a whole lot of footage 🤦♂️ Will what I can put together
That was wicked fun 🤩
"don't die froff dog." hahah so good.!
Thanks mate 😃
great view of australia
Thanks mate
man you could easerly loose a kneecap on this trail. ronny burns (the surfer) lost his life in Hawaii on a dirt bike trail hitting a rock with his knee and bleeding out......that fact makes this decent of yours legendary and highlights what a level this track really is....
Not the Queenstown I was expecting when it comes to MTB (Didn't know there was another place called that tbh lol) but wow it looks awesome!
same name, but totally different. Such a wild ride 👌
Great trail..but I think I'd be wearing gloves!
Great thumbnail!
Cheers mate, appreciate it!
This looks amazing thanks, how you reckon a well spec'd hardtail would go out there? Also is that an Orbea you're riding?
Thanks mate! I’m sure you can make that work! Yeah mate Orbea Rallon 🤙
@@Froff Awesome thanks mate, waiting for a new Roscoe 9 and hoping to take it to Tassie this year! Very nice steed :)

Looks almost as rocky as Nerang
😂 Nerang looks amazing
Looks sick definitely need to get there myself
Such a rad spot 👌
houwa rocky garden !
Ah, you've finally earned my sub
The trail in the picture is called the North Owen Descent. Rode it last week, it's pretty good fun! A nice change from most other trails.
"How much loose gravel is on this trail?" ... "Yes!"
Riding loose gravel trails without gloves is one way to increase your pucker factor. :P
Queenstown rocks. Harden up Australia. Rory, Tasmania.
Holy shit 😂😂😂 hectic!
So sick 👍
Gloves are good...try em.
no legs to climb?
I cant believe you dont wear gloves! Those sharp rocks will slice your hands open real quick if you hit the deck.
Um Queenstown is in Queensland not in Tasmania but awesome video
🤔
Why it's Called the Rugged West Coast.
Rough and rugged 😀
Viewing the trail from the riders POV says nothing about the trail other than it's dry and up high . It isn't until there's a ride in front that you get a sense of the steep decent, the rocks and drops and just how loose it is.
Yeah for sure mate!!
Why are you guys riding without gloves? When someone falls, they tend to put their hands out. When I was riding, I never went without gloves; never mind how slick sweaty hands get. And getting shuttled up?! Half of mountain biking is the climb up.
You can’t climb to the top of these trails it’s a private shuttle road and there’s no climbing trail.
Shit Yeah!!
Go mtb they said, no cars to worry about.
Way too much stones for my taste. But it looks epic.
Haha it’s very skatey

Yeah I don’t think it’s something I would enjoy - holding the brakes the whole time and sliding around everywhere.
