Hi Bill, this little MG seems to be the car of the week. Both Opa's Diecast Restorations and Diecast Sheriff did one of these in a build off. Yours came out just beautifully. There's more casting detail on this particular Tootsie Toy than most of them, so it lent itself to some fine detail painting, which you did nicely. Classy colour choices too - exterior and interior! Thumbs up from Switzerland - Andrew
What the heck, I was not invited? It is really funny how we do the same cars in the same week. Until recently I had 6 car videos done and scheduled. That one was done like 4 weeks ago. :)
@@BillsWorkbench Nice job!👍From the looks of that size it seems to be pretty close to 'HO' scale, I used to have a tootsietoy car just like that when i was growing up back in the early 60's, I used to play with 'Tootsietoy' cars up until '67 that's when i discovered 'Matchbox' and later 'Hot Wheels'
@@michaelquinones-lx6ks Thank you for sharing your story, I love to read about how these toys still bring joy today. OH, and yes the car is about HO scale.
SOO KOOOOOLLLL.
Very nice work.
Mike Espo .
Thank you
For a little dimestore car, you made it look exceptional! Very classic look, I like it! 👍
Thanks! 👍
I think it came out as good as the matchbox version.

Nice work Bill. I love watching these Tootsie Tuesday videos. There just aren't that many of these toys around my area, but they sure area neat.
Glad you like them!
Well done, Painting the details on the dashboard is ridiculously tedious! For me it was the hardest part! Very nice blue!
Your right! these cars are so small, the camera makes them look huge. That's why I put the quarter in the shot.
@@BillsWorkbench yep, tiny!
Beautiful work! Amazing the detail you can get out of these. Nice work, Bill!
They are fun little cars

@@BillsWorkbench And, thank you for your reply.
Beautiful and really cute car buddy ,I'm trying to do a Rolls Royce by Lesney but part of the base missing .nice detailing, just what I like
JB weld can be your friend to fix that base.
Have you ever tried to put a little drivers in the car?
I have not. That car is the exact same size as the Matchbox 19A MG TD. If you wanted a driver for yours you can find him on model-supplies.co.uk.
