ELDEN RING CO-OP but Margit will NOT STOP WITH THE HAMMER

I forced my friend Sappycloud to play Elden Ring with me after the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC got announced. It'll be his first time with the game so he'll lead the way.
We fight our first official boss, Margit and he intends to use a hammer to harm us.
We were harmed.
He succeeded.
