Review: I purchased this course a few days ago and I think it is very good. Addressed here are lots of little details my former teacher wouldn't, or couldn't, cover. Not every studio teaches fundamentals to beginners making it hard to progress. Alexey starts at the feet and works his way up. So, he is clear and thorough. There are diagrams, training exercises, and his usual follow-alongs. However, most of the concepts are exclusive to the course and all of the content is more detailed than what is offered on his RUclips channel. In short, it is a well-planned and comprehensive fundamental course. I do ballet and contemporary. My ballroom experience is meh, but I think this is for intermediate students looking to polish their basics and beginner students who are looking to learn things right the first time. If you like his teaching style and are looking to create a more technical Rumba aesthetic this may be worthwhile. P.S. Samba or Cha Cha next please.
Wow, thank you so much for your review, it’s really means a lot to me. Thank you 🙏🏻 😊 Next course I am working on is going to be on turns, and after that cha cha and samba 😊✌🏻
Review I bought this course the day it first came out. For five years I have been told to practice practice practice. However, I never knew if I was practicing correctly and would get discouraged and distracted and lazy . This course is working Miracles in my attitude and ability to Pactice! Alexey first goes over exactly how each basic element of Rumba should be executed and then leads 4 or 5 minutes of continuous practice of those elements. This is the perfect antidote to the excuse of thinking I’m not practicing correctly. He has sections on basic Rumba movement ...how do use the feet, the knees, the hips and upper body. He demonstrates and explains Rumba walks forward, back, side, and swivel motions broken down to practice slowly over and over and over again. I am now practicing half an hour a day easily without distraction where is before I would stop after five minutes.
For anyone who wants to go from “practice makes perfect “ to “perfect practice makes perfect” this is the best course I have found online. I use Dvida to learn Syllabus and it is great for that purpose. But this is the only course I have ever found that teaches me how to practice what I’ve learned. I definitely would recommend it to anyone who is committed to continuing on their Latin Ballroom Dance Journey.
I want to mention that I am now working on pro am Rhythm and even though this is for International rumba this still works great for me because the included practice and exercise sections cover the basic elements of how to connect to and use one’s body💃💃💃💃
Just enrolled and can't wait to start! :) I was happy to be early enough to get the launch discount, and then a little surprised when I saw that Alexey already released the course in August 2020. I hope this doesn't mean that there were too few people who bought it because I can already tell it's going to be extremely helpful for practice, especially during the Pandemic (we're still not allowed to dance here in Germany). However it may be, I'll spread the word! :)
Dear Alexey, I have come across your video recently and really like your contents and the way you teach techniques of dancing. I am considering getting your Fundamental of Rumba course. I know this video already 3 years old, but if we get the course now, do we still get the 45 minutes chat with you? Thank you.
Hi Alexey, it is good to know that you have launched the online class which I am very interested in. As I have been watching your teaching videos for a while. I found your teaching skill is clear and easy to catch. Also your dancing skill is Brilliant!!! I want to enroll the class but I have a question. Are all the techniques you teach suitable / applicable for solo performance and partner dancing? Thanks
Hi there thank you for your question! This course is designed specifically for solo practicing of international rumba technique. Technique will stay the same for partner or for solo dancing so you can use it for both. Let me know if you have any other questions!

3 years later I found this video and I am ready to purchase. I am like 3 weeks before my first solo rumba competition so hopefully I am not too late
