I’m roughly 150 every outlet a customer wants to add. Then there’s unit price and equipment. I Install about 6 a month standard & retractable systems. All I do and do it to my best. Great install!

Great video! Very helpful. Definitely putting one of these in my new house. I'd have to put it somewhere easier to empty with my dog hair factory here, though. 😄

Great Video! most helpful one I have watched to date. I am about to undertake this project within the next couple of weeks. How is your system running? I am having some trouble deciding my drop locations and pipe route with a 2 story house. Any tips or would you consider chatting some more with me about this?

I noticed you have your control unit on the second floor. No issues with the debris making it into the unit? I would think it would have to be at a lower level than the piping so gravity can help any debris make it into the motor

No issues. Even on a single level it still has to go from outlet height up into the wall and to the unit mounted high on a wall. You would never mount it at ankle height. Obviously you don’t need to be sucking up rocks. If it makes it into vacuum tube and disappears I have no issues getting it to unit. It will suck a golf ball through a garden hose lol.

we will have a 100 feet by 40 feet rectangle home on 2 levels.. is it good to keep the motor unit in the center and draw from both sides or do you suggest we keep it on one end of the rectangle and draw from one direction only?

I am no expert but when you install this type of system you draw from your farthest point to your motor. You also generally want it close to an exterior wall so you don’t have far to exhaust. I think usually you want 8’ or less to exhaust to the exterior from motor. Mine is a little longer but it’s a strait shot so it’s not a problem.

What a disappoinment! Never place the vacuum system in the attic! Poor install!

This really isn’t an attic it is open storage above shop. No difference in temperature from what it would be if it was exposed on other wall. It is hard to see what I’m talking about from the video but it isn’t a closed space that doesn’t ventilate.
