*Rocio Durcal is such a good performer! And the musicality of this performance was unbelievable!* p.s: We have a Streamlabs (link + explanation in the description). Thank you for your support.
Customs is bad translated, the issue is that: in a relationship to get "Used To" live or be with someone is stronger that to be in love with. The song is a bitter sweet ballad of a couple that just doesn't love each other anymore but even got bad blood feelings, but can't let go of each other. I always loved Rocio's voice and even had a crush on her as a kid hehe! Here she was on her mid 60's and still with a great voice.
Rocio Durcal was the most prolific singer of Juan Gabriel, many songs were composed by him especially for her, I was lucky enough to see live performances by both of them and they were magnificent.

" Me Nace Del Corazon " , " La Muerte Del Palomo " & Duet with Juan Gabriel a couple of songs together ,, Great Songs , She i a Great Singer Who was born in SPAIN & became famous in Mexico & Latin America /
Amazing!!!! Rocio an Juan Gabriel had a beautiful relationship. I think they were good friends until they died. Two truly amazing stars en the sky!!!!!⭐️ They will always be missed 😭
"Costumbre" in Spanish mean "habits" in other ways the way you act in your daily life. Rocio Durcal sang with Juan Gabriel in the past and they were good bodies or so, she is an amazing singer
Hi guys, you are correct, the word “Costumbre/Costumbres” is a synonym for tradición (tradition), however in this context it actually means “habits”, ou en français, “des habitudes”.
Era española. Y cantaba canciones mexicanas. Era hermosa. Siempre estara en nuestros corazones. Mexicana de corazón 💖. Asta el cielo. Rocío Dúrcal. 🙏🙏🙏😪😪
Rocio Durcal sang man styles of music throughout her career. The songs you have reacted so far were penned and produced by Juan Gabriel. The characteritistic of these songs is that the are ballads with both mariachi band and orquestra arrangement and that is something that she did first.
The word "Costumbre" refers to the fact of being used to something or someone. The song talks about how she got used to a relationship with someone, but that relationship has broken, and she misses him even though they don't love each other anymore. That's why she says that custom(or habit) is stronger than love.
To know when an artist is imitating another artist's style - who copy who? Ok, just go back in time and listen to their singing that is the way to see if their style is really theirs. Rocio sang with mariachi but always her own unique spanish elegant style. Bravo Rocio.
"Costumbres" in a relationship which is what Rocio Durcal is talking about in this song, refers to when a romantic relationship reaches a point after so many arguments, fights and other issues even though this relationship is hurting you both, you get so used to the other person without love and even though you don't love them you stay and can't imagine your life without them.
Lyrics: Tell me about you.. talk to me about your life You know well, that i am convinced That you cannot forget me, even if you tried to You will always come back, time and time again Time and time again, you will always come back Even if you no longer have any more love left to feel me, just hatred I also have nothing left to feel, and that is much worse But i still miss you.. oh how i miss you Without a doubt, it’s true that they say that the “Habit” is stronger than love.. (she’s talking about staying together just because they are so used to being with each other because of “habit” and not because of love)
@@marlon1945 I'd just add that rancor = rencor. Same word, same meaning. I think hatred doesn't really convey the jilted resentment/bitterness of rancor.
Great comments guys. I am glad that you grasped that it's a Juan Gabriel song like many other she sang. However Rocio Durcal "La Española mas Mexicana" (as she was known) has a really magical way to interpret the songs that it gives you chills all the time. Just a little tip when looking into the lyrics guys. Usually songs are translated literally and in Spanish there are a lot of symbolism, metaphors, etc and when translated they lose the essence of the song. However, it is good to get an idea of what the songs are about but don't think of it as translated. Hope that makes sense, greetings from Los Angeles.
I think that is the main reason why many people stick together. Breaking up is hard to do in most cases, unless the relationship becomes really abusive. And even then...you might miss what used to be.
There is videos of Juan Gabriel in the recording studios with the singers and Juan Gabriel , practicing the songs over and over again until his songs where perfectly interpreted . It didn’t matter how famous the singers were. And also he was as strict with his musicians .
Costumbre is also habit... the song they mean that routine, and habit is sometimes stronger than love... because she doesn’t love the dude... but she misses him non the less
The correct translation would be "Habits." A habit is stronger than love. You get used to someone, their presence, that person being in your life so that even if you no longer feel love for that person you will miss them when they are no longer around. A habit is hard to break even when that habit is a person's presence. You may feel a void...a longing. 😭😞

Hi, she wanted to say, " there is no doubt (no cabe duda) and it is truth ( es verdad) that getting used to someone or something (que la costumbre) , is stronger than love ( es mas fuerte que el amor) . Thats is the sense of getting" custom". It is most used in britain. Saludos desde Costa Rica.

Rocio Durcal fue una nlña prodigio en España hizo muchas películas y fue una gran cantante muy querida en España pero como todos los artista después de tantos años de carrera tienen altos y bajos. Cuando fue a México y empezó a cantar rancheras volvió otra vez a la cima pero siempre fue muy famosa y querida en España desde muy jovencita
You are reacting to a performance that has a prerecorded track. YET she still shows emotion.. React to her live performances, They ARE SO MUCH BETTER than the studio recordings. Juan Gabriel and her were VERY good friends. He wrote songs that were intricate because he knew her amazing vocal ability and her amazing physical and emotional way of performing them. Both were such a great loss for the musical world.
The part that sings "no cabe duda que es verdad que la costumber es mas fuerte que el amor" can be explained in the context of long sentimental relationships, where you are so acustomed to someone that love is no longer relevant. This is the hurt what this song sings about.
