Paul and Michelle. In the past four years, I've had two heart attacks, cancer, my wife was injured with a brain injury, my mom passed and three weeks ago my oldest son was killed. I watch your videos religiously because you give me motivation to still handle my stuff "vehicle maintenance and projects", some days it's very tough to get motivated to get things done. Todays is actually one of them. My point here isn't "oh, I need sympathy", my point here is... what you guys do is amazing with the crew you have. It's also amazing that what you love actually supports who you love, it's friggin' amazing and I am so very happy for you guys. You lift my spirits when I'm down and watching you get things "DONE", motivates me to get things done. I'm sorry that there are simply people out there who are never happy and they love to complain because as the saying goes, "misery loves company". You guys are amazing, you have raised an amazing family and you seem to be good old, "salt of the earth" people. Keep up the good work and do your best to have a friggin' blast while doing it... sincerely, Thank you!!

Agree 100%!!! Fab Rats (& family) is my favorite channel of the 30+ subscriptions I have. You folks are so down to earth and honest and do a terrific job with your limited staff. Grandma Lollie is a hoot to see how see doesn't take any guff off anyone! Shawn and Hunter are great teammates and are always positive in their attitude. Michelle and all your boys are great additions to your content. But, Paul...you are the star! Your creative ability to make "silk purses" out of "sow's ears" is something to behold. Ignore the ignoramus comments from the naysayers. They are probably just jealous because they don't have 1/10th of your ability or visions. Stay true to yourself and those of us in the 99.9% audience will come along for the ride! God Bless you and your family.

Your channel arrived not long after the death of my husband of 35 years, and as I watch you create works of automotive art, I can hear his voice. He would have loved everything you do, and coveted a great many of your builds. This is the first time I have commented ever, which I guess is what a big part of the 99.9% do. Watch in awed silence.

I think sometimes people forget that this is not a repair shop it’s a creative shop and that has an artistic component to it l. Which means inspiration, appearance, combined with form and functionality for the very specific tasks you have in mind for the vehicles once they are completed. This is the very essence of fab rats and what drew me to the channel. The creativity, like your dad’s lumber mill, the wrecker, just built from a dream in your mind and parts you can find that function well and hold up to extreme loads. Keep being awesome!! ❤

Jealousy, ignorance, lack of sophistication, those are the elements that make up the .01% of the folks who criticize. In my career, I found that the more successful I became, the more criticism I got subjected to. That's how you know that you are doing things right! You guys are good people, and that is why your channel does so well. When you do what you like, there's at least a half-million people out here who like it too!

I just love Paul's attitude and logic. I'm 76 now and still got projects going. Like you I never work on one at a time, they become boring and a chore that way so I do a bit on this and a bit on that and they all move forwards slowly. Keep doing what your doing the way that YOU want, we will still be here watching and enjoying every minute. The .01% have probably never achieved anything never mind finished something. Best Wishes from across The Pond.

I’m much like you, you can only work on a project so long and you are right sometimes, stepping away from a project can give new perspective on it and let you come up with new ideas on how to finish. Keep on keeping on, love your show!

Whether it is fixing a car or doing the lawn, cutting down a tree or helping the wife with something in the house. Reminds me of a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. Don't listen to them! You guys are great, I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and you are about as genuine as they come. I appreciate the way you share your ideas and then go to the shop and start building, you figure it out along the way... That's pretty much how I've run my business. We are TERRIBLE at commenting, but my husband watches Fab Rats pretty regularly. He ended up running into Paul in Vernal at Maverick a few weeks ago...(He is a nearly 7ft tall giant😂). Anyway, I appreciate that the time he spends watching TV is spent on your show, watching how you fix vehicles, the shooting range one was fun, the what to do for fun places to visit. It's just nice to have something clean and wholesome...no foulness, its difficult to find anything like that these days. So...keep up your hard work, and we'll keep supporting your channel. And, as a side note, I am pretty grateful for the normalization of unfinished projects, or a job done right takes time...as my sewing room fits that description 😂.

Paul, I've had parts for a 82" CJ that I drove as a teen in 91'. I had plans of v8, lift, tires and all that. I was okay, learning from my father on keeping it running with what it had. I had a fear of how the heck am I going to weld anything, when I knew nobody who could show me how or the equipment to do so. Flash forward to 2020 and I started watching you religiously when working on Dar's Jeep. Your videos helped me tackle the doubt and fears of welding. I bought a decent mig and got to practicing. My dad passed in Feb 2021 and he was the one that taught me how to keep that old jeep running. There were many bonding moments around that Jeep. I felt pretty lost of course, but then found solace in the garage. I tore down that CJ going through and upgrading as well as replacing worn parts, rebuilt T-case. Repaired cracked frame, performed spring-over, and other teenage dreams I had for it. So, I have yet to finish my CJ completely, but I have been on the trails testing. So ignore the negative. I have yet finished mine all these years, so your list of finished items is crazy to me. Grateful for you, your family and peeps there.
