Saint-14 attempts to say hello to an Eliksni child (aka “a smallen”) and he becomes shaken up after the baby runs in fear at the sight of “The Saint”, a monster among Eliksni culture as described by Mithrax in a recent cutscene. Saint has since been deeply effected by this encounter...

No one said it better than Saint:
"I can't forgive what the old houses did to us, but these are not the old houses."
I LOVE how Saint has a soft spot for children. I love how Saint has been affected by how the Fallen see him. I love how Saint is going to make an effort to help Mithrax now. Did I mention I love Saint?
No I think you forgot to mention that last detail
Lol you put it better than I could
Sooo you are Osiris?
Saint is the most wholesome titan. He’s like Zavala, you know if he actually cared about our morale more than duty.
time for saint to rebuild from naught but the ground into a new type of guardian and kinda fallow the type of path we do while also holding the sins of the past close to the heart while also striving to be way better (or atleast try to be) than our past selves
Future cutscene idea: *Saint lifts the Eliksni children on his shoulders*
Saint carries a human child in his arms and on his shoulder while he lets Eliksni kids crawl over him.
Y E S! I want it so bad!
Like a proper gentle titan
@Joshua Lowtan Zavala in the background, quietly and thoughtfully watching. No real facial definition, because we all know what our "big blue statue" is thinking as he lets a slight smile run across his lips.
No, better, they skitter on his armor.
This is literally all about a robot and an alien trying to be friends at a sleepover
Lol that true
wait what
@@4am446 saint is an exo, thats why he said robot
@@fuze7885 nah its the sleepover bit i dont get
@@4am446 the eliksni are staying in the city at least until the end of the endless night, they're technically just staying the night
Mithrax has developed into a very deep and admirable character.
I liked him from zero hour forth
More character development for this Eliksni in one season then Lakshmi has had in 7 years
This is the way 🙅♂️
The light provides 👌
I love the way they built up to Witch Queen. Sympathizing with former enemies, learning how other races perceive us.
And saint 14 has been reduced to a very shallow and generic marvel hero
Saint seems very moved by children. He carries them around in the city, listens to them sing, and even tried to greet an Eliksni young.
He's growing as a man, a character
I only wish I could say the same about another certain Exo, who, at this point? Is starting to piss us all off
That exo is gonna catch these hands if she don't shut up
@@LuciferD2 she's really showing my clan up SMH
The FWC does not speak for Dead Orbit or Exos in general.
@@LuciferD2 Hands nothing. Bitch gonna catch a Nova bomb, Goldie shot, and a Thundercrash at this rate.
You mean ana Bray ?
Saint and Mithrax gradually warming up to one another, Mithrax trusting of the City and Guardians, and Saint feeling remorse and seeing the Eliksni as human is just the best fucking story arc
From helping us steal a SIVA war machine, to building a bridge between Fallen and Human.
Mithrax deserves the "True Friend" award, no questions asked.
he murdered 100 of his own Kind before turning good u know that do u ?
SIVA war machine?
Ohhhhhhh wait I remember now
Nvm
Imagine this:
Saint is patrolling the Botza district when he notices an Eliksni child sitting nearby. She's staring at him, unmoving. Saint slowly approaches, careful not to scare her. He says hello and asks if he can sit. She nods. He does so and thanks her for not running away. She tells him that the Kell says he's okay. After a pause, Saint asks how she is. She states that she misses her parents. Saint gives his condolences and asks about them. She tells him how her mother taught her how to make tools out of scrap parts. How her father used to tell her stories about the stars in the night sky. Saint expresses his interest in her story and comments that he would have liked to have met her parents. She then reveals that he did, and that he killed them. Saint says nothing as he realises she hadn't looked at him once since he sat down. He starts to apologise, but feels unable to for some reason. He gets up and walks away in silence. The child doesn't watch him leave.
Stop. Just don't.
You had my hopes up for a while, but then you took a sledgehammer and straight up killed them
As a wise man once said "they had us in the first half not gonna lie"
I can imagine something like this happening already, seeing as he has tried to talk to the children aswell.
*starts ugly crying*
during the incursion even at the Eleskni quarter and Mithrax tells Saint to go protect his people, and Saint cried back "You ARE my people!" I am not going to lie... I teared up a little.
Honestly, the first half is not surprising. When you spent several centuries waging a genocidal war against the fallen enough to be considered the devil, what do you expect a hatchling to react when it sees the devil in the stories in front of it?
Amanda has a eliksni assistant so progress
Said genocide started first by the fallen via invasion of soul and around the darkage/twilight gap.
But yeah sure..put a faction youve waged genocide war with for 500 years+ into the *LAST* city and also call any negative reaction be it hostile or not as "ignorant"
Since to my knowledge there was no vote..aka the vanguard openly moved ok its own disregarding the other factions enterly, boy we should have just gone new monarchy if this was suppose to happen
The Eliksni cast the first stone, however, our retaliation put us on their level so we all are obliged to mend it as best we can.
@@minder01 as ive said before...does the fallen Deserve a second chance? Sure maybe
Are they the victim that we currently get sorta force feed..no, fuck em.
Doesnt help the vanguard just ignored the consensus to bring in house of light...aka bring in the race that genocided us, raided us during dark age and now exist on every planet that once belonged to mankind.
@@funbro99
Collectively, fallen bear the responsibility of what they did to mankind but it’s for the individual fallen to deserve a chance.
The house of light definitely deserves a shot, the only worry for us is if they really believe in Mithrax and what he learned from Sjur.
In the first cutscene for the season of the splicer and bits thereafter like this one, Mithrax has to constantly assure his followers to trust in the light.
If Mithrax were to die, would they abandon their current course?
Lakshmi might want to try and assassinate him if that were the case.
Mithrax saying to the child that the Saint is only a story , yet knowing that Saint-14 is responsible for murdering countless eliksni and is sitting on said murderers doorstep , yet chooses to look past this is quite admirable
Saint-14 has the same reaction to baby Eliksni as the rest of us.
“The reaction seemed to wound him” ma heart hurt
Glad to see we can indeed all be friends
We are in harmony
Saint-14: aww lil babey cmon I wanna give you a high fi-
*child runs*
Saint-14: ;-;
Let's be real here. If Lakshmi kicks the Eliksni and the Vanguard out of the city, then the majority of the guardians are probably going with them.
That is, of course, assuming that she actually has the resources to do so. Much as I personally despised Season of the Chosen (I just don't like Cabal storylines in general), it was a great example of why Lightbearers are such a force to be reckoned with against causal-bound factions. Caiatl wanted us to be subservient, so we told her no and proceeded to kill all other contenders for her war council until she agreed to a ceasefire or a partnership (I don't remember which). If Lakshmi wanted to turn the City against the Lightbearers, she'd be hard-pressed to justify throwing a bunch of powerless humans against metaphorical demigods.
@@ValkyrianPrime Dude in lore it's not even demigods really it's just straight-up gods our supers are more powerful and we have no cooldowns it's really just based on emotions and willpower and with how strong a lot of guardians feel about the eliksni they would be hard-pressed to deal with Saint or me alone I'd make a damn Well so large and powerful that anyone in the entirety of the last city would be practically immortal standing inside of it as long as I don't consider them a foe
@@Hestaka Guardian are God-like knuckleheads read a certain shell lore about that
we just go back to the Farm lmao
.... "Going with them"?
Bold to assume her attempted coup would have resulted in anything but her very swift death.
I would have very calmly grabbed her wrist and held an incendiary grenade between us. Then, when I'm standing again 5 seconds later, I would have asked Jalaal and Hideo if they cared to voice any complaints over my handling of the situation.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi-2 is angry at Saint-14
Lakshmi-2:saint how dare you
Saint:think of the children
In hindsight this became an understatement
This is easily my favourite season because of this beautiful story of Humans and Eliksni finally putting aside their differences to live with one another as the Traveler intended
God I love Mithrax what a homie he’s just such a great character I hope he sticks around and we see much more of him for years to come
It hits hard because Saint realizes that the fallen to him ended up being the same as him to the fallen. Cant imagine that would feel good
You guys thinking that saint-14 was actually a father who lost their child at some point
Saint-14's past is a mystery more than most Exos
Rather than the icy wasteland of Europa, he is the only Exo who dreams of golden fields and a woman telling Saint he is just like his father.
What are the golden fields Saint dreams of or who was the woman and whose father is she talking about.
Saint-14's original father or The Speaker?
I hope we can get more info on to who he was before he became a Guardian
I remember seeing a video about how Sait saw Eliskni. When they first arrived and started to attack. He made mention of Eliskni eating children. That's what drove him to become the monster they say he is. The monster in their bedtime stories.
Yeah, that was my video. :)
Mithrax once again referencing Sjur Eido, he must’ve really had a close friendship with her.
Thats her daughter my guy
@@Darh1407 His daughter, Eido, was named after his first Awoken friend and the previous Queen’s Wrath, Sjur Eido.
@@Tb55555 oh really? My bad then
With the possible of betrayal from Osiris on the horizon, Lakshmi-2 being an ass, and the shadow of Savathun looming over us, it's a nice change to hear something good.
Saint is a nice person
Thx for a heart
Friendship ended with Caital, Mithrax is my new best friend.
Why cant we have both
I love Mithrax's story. I never played season of the splicer, and I regret it. Witchqueen has become one of my favorite expansions, and has really got me into the game.
Mithrax is probably my favorite character after cayde
Saint-14s greatest weakness children
Saint and Mithrax had a character development at the same time together, and it was magnificent
Mithrax is such a great character, wise and charismatic as a leader. One of the few Elksni to choose peace over violence. It makes me hope House Light will regain the former glory that their people once were, as loosing the Traveler led to their barbaric, violent ways. It really mirrors what could happen to humanity if the Traveler leaves us as well. Some may think it’s benevolent, but the the case of the Elksni, it seemed pretty selfish.
God damn Mithrax is going to die a sad ass death. This dude is like the video game version of Jesus. Here’s hoping he resurrects just like Big Man
If he dies I'll just die inside although my favourite character is crota because crota mithrax is literally the example of a perfect character
What makes this worse is that the Eliksni live for hundreds of years. So memories and stories of what Saint-14 did to them haunt them for a very long time.
A even more sad story is that there was one engram i could not get from this guy because his engrams are locked behind the season pass.
"Be brave."
BE BRAVE!

Got helm of saint-14 about 2 days ago. Ima try to follow his example
Don't stop trying
“To know children tremble in fear at my name. And mourn what I’ve taken from them…”😊
I can’t believe the Splicer season was over a year ago
Now children of both Eliksni and humanity live in a steady peace.
Damn, Season of the Splicer was a damn good season.
I will admit, at first I thought I'd grow to hate Mithrax and think he'd just be another character cliche but more I played the more I grew to love and admire Mithrax for the person he is
the fallen came to earth, even if they were tricked by their leaders, and committed atrocities against humanity. Saint watched his ppl murdered again and again and again. Witnessed brutal and savage of killing of humans at the hands of the fallen. He gave the fallen what they gave us, he made them afraid. Saint did nothing wrong and that story just paints him a terrible light, I literally could not care less that the Eliksni feared him. I am glad humanity and at least some of the fallen were able to make peace, but I find it very unfair saint was treated like a monster by the very same monster's humanity had to fear. The very same horror story's told about saint were no doubt told to human children about the fallen.
You actually find out a lot of the reason they did that was they were starving, they even had to eat their own kind to survive. Only a few houses committed most of the crimes, not all of them. That woukd be like blaming all of Korea for what Kim Jun Buttmuch and his inner circle did. Saint was a war criminal, he never denies he killed innocent women and children, but he's not that man anymore. This whole season was about how Saint is a person, did terrible stuff before, but is not defined by them. He chose to be better and make peace with the people he saw as animals. He had a full character arch
Saint-14 cosplay on point!
Aww the servitor in its casing looks like a ghost!
i honestly hope nothing bad happens to the house of light and they become a permanent allies to the guardians but i have this gut feeling bungie is just gonna pull some 360 and turn the fallen evil.
Are we glossing over the fact that he said the hatchling meaning they come from eggs
Yeah it's mentioned many times in lore
They are insectoids.
They are bugs, dude. That was established in the first game
why does no one understand and speak his name properly? Unless you're slow or have a speech issue, all Guardians should call him by his Proper name. I do. His name is Misraaks. I don't see why it is so hard to say, that everyone but me and some others i haven't met can properly pronounce Misraaks' name and literally EVERYONE else cannot. But i believe it is because of a lack of effort.
I think it's because they don't care. He's not equal to them or a full person. It's like when a racist keeps purposely mispronouncing a black person's name even if it's an easy name. It's a way to be a jerk. All our guardian can do is show they see him as an equal by using the right name and giving him a chance
Can Saint-14's boyfriend just wake up from his coma like state already?! I'm starting to worry!
He'll be back soon, for sure.
He does and they kiss
This is probably gonna sound dumb, but literally as soon as I heard Variks mention how calling them the 'Fallen' is very similar to a racial slur, I've only ever called them Eliksni.
Mithrax has to be one of the best characters in this entire series.
I mean despite the way he describe saint 14s monster story, he should take in consideration that he was like that too in his younger days which he killed most of his people which he was affected by the darkness of the witness from the season of the plunder so in my comprehension of the lore, which is hypocritical because he almost technically did the same thing as saint but understand why he never speak of it so he wouldn’t be seen differently as well
The difference is Misraax was basicly possessed and not fully in control of himself, where as Saint was. No one had possessed him or manipulated him, Saint chose to tourcher and kill women and children. He's not that man anymore, maybr not even remember since he was rebooted at least 13 times. But he still chose his actions
Can someone time stamp where the baby is actually mentioned? The thumbnail art was so good I thought it was an in game cutscene Lol
Saint. He’s super famous. Loves to hang out with kids, hold their hands, be with them. He reminds me so much of *Michael Jackson*
I'm starting to regret killing the fallen I never knew how much damage we could really do
So Crayons with the eliksni?
Break out the good stuff - 124-pack with the built-in sharpener.
A smallen 😂
It's Eliksni.
if theres ever some little shit who dares to ruin this peace id kill tf out of it. goddamn the story almost got me to tear up. LOL
mithrax,missraks,mythrex,mysrak.... hard to say
Misraax isn't hard to say though. It's Miss and Rax together
i miss the season of the Splicer.
Can we all just appreciate the fact that this came from the same people that wrote I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain, please?
Ah man i miss playing Destiny 2 but there's no point playing solo + with no season pass (yes, i CAN'T afford $10 every 3 months)
Guardians and Saint on the way to bitch slap Lakshmi
Screeb grenade launcher
Is a npc we can see agian
Yet saint 14 murdered children during the dark ages
Yup
In the dark ages
I'm pretty sure centuries of fighting and looking back on your actions would change how you see things
Mainly because was too caught up to really realize they were children and not just smaller Fallen. Him being able to step back and see the Fallen for who they are and not just the monsters among them is letting him move past all this.
Yeah it was a dark time.
