    I like to think that at some point someone was probably just like "What if V8 supercars, but trophy trucks... With jumps..."
    And someone else was like "Yeah alright, let's do it."
    And thus, stadium super trucks were born.

    Love to see an F1 race there again or even Indycar return to Australia. Always love watching the old CART series back in the day racing on the Gold Coast.

    So are these just generic truck bodies over matching off road chassis?

    • @4camtbird
      @4camtbird 4 года назад

      Yeah, they are spec trucks prepared by Robby's crew. Matching chassis, matching engines.

    Jumps need to be bigger.. possibly dirt jump.. and more horsepower allowed truck's!

      Wanna put a dirt jump on a street circuit and ruin a part of it for all the other cars? Right.

      The truth is that there are forcing them to make the ramps smaller this year or they wont let them race in Australia for safety reasons, Robbys intentions where a lot more extreme bot they are keeping him under control. race control is to scared that a truck will fly over the fence in a freak accident.

    Sorry when did Japanese Handbag Carriers become A Trucks and B Super??????????? Let's sto Toyota Buying False promotion... We Let Holden and Toyota race in Supercars with cars that arn't available because they paid...Lets just sell out completely say let Fiat have a 9 litre or Skoda running a LSV8////the media and organisers have no credibility.....

      Firstly, what the hell does Toyota have to do with Super Trucks? There's no Toyota markings on them whatsoever.
      Secondly, V8 Supercars hasn't been about actual production cars for many years. Toyota, Mercedes and Volvos were allowed to run because they met the rules, which do NOT mention that the original car must be a factory V8. The VE Commodore had its body shell modified to fit within the dimension rules of the series, and then those dimensions altered, which allowed the later Falcons to run without modification. The majority of the cars is all control, with only the engine, basic body shape and lights coming from the manufacturer. The only stipulation about production is that the cars must be visually based on front engined, rear wheel drive, 4-5 seat sedans available for sale in Australia. They're allowed to run up to a V8, with 4s and 6s allowed to be turbocharged.
      Thirdly, whilst I agree that the modern V8SC is an absolute joke, and wish we could have a return to the good old days of Group A, the general race going public doesn't agree, which is why changes have been made. Declining spectators means less sponsorship money, means lower quality events, means less spectators, etc, until you have no more racing. Times change.

      @@KPearce57 There is NO Manufacturer Here...You Lease a Race Ready Truck from Robbie Gordon. every Truck is rebuilt after every race and then shipped off to the next Race, every race you will have a different truck and your Team will apply YOUR Sponsorship Decals on your Truck, you can make Shock, Camber, Castor and Roll Bar adjustments only...I asked Robbie Gordon 2 years ago what the Lease cost...it was $300,000 for the Season that included shipping the Trucks to all the Races. The Engine is the Chevy LS6 with a TH 400 Transmission
